Booked for overnight stay before leaving Italy to return to UK so needed something close to the train station. Knew it wasn't going to be great as only a 2 star but thought it would do for just one night. The website stated 'deluxe' double room with aircon and free breakfast, it could not be further from the truth. The...

Hotel is very close to the Termini, bus station and hop on hop off buses. A little dated which didn't bother me. Room was a good size likewise the bathroom. This hotel has a lift and rooms are in a building next door to the reception area. Breakfast was a great disappointment. Cup of tea/coffee, croissant with jam. Two types...

I arrived in Rome and got a bus for €5 to the main train terminal,( the buses run constantly) the hotel was easy to find on foot by exiting the terminal at Via Marsala and the hotel is located about 200 mtrs on the left, there is a big sign on the street corner. I felt the guy on reception...

We stayed for two nights at Hotel Mirage purely based it's location 50m from Termini Train Station. All staff we dealt with from the hotel were exceptionally friendly and the hotel, our room and the breakfast room were very clean. The downside of the hotel unfortunately is that it is outdated. A little maintenance and make over is needed! Breakfast...

This place urgently needs a big overhaul. Rubbish bins overflowing in foyer to lift. Lift doors really dirty and in need of a paint-job. No toilet paper or glass for drinking in room. Close to Termini station is an advantage, but that's about it.

The hotel is located quite close to the Termini station, with easy access to all kinds of public transport. It is also close to some of the Rome's historical objects. The Colosseum is less than 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. The hotel is old and the furniture is outdated. The reception and the entrance to the rooms are...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
