We visited 4 different Italian cities for our vacation and the Hotel Golden was by far the best hotel! The staff was incredible. Giuseppe and the rest of his family were amazing from the get go. I emailed Giuseppe with a couple questions about a month and a half in advance of our stay and he responded promptly and provided...

Take taxi from Roma termini, not the bus. Call to Golden and ask them to talk with your taxi driver for exact hotel location, they will help you and is for 6.5 Euro. 1.5Euro /Person in bus & confusing

We had such a pleasant stay at the Hotel Golden. The staff is absolutely charming and made us feel like family. The room was very nice and clean. Marco was extremely helpful providing great restaurant recommendations and directions to navigate around the city. The location is outstanding ... just a short walk to the Spanish Steps. The homemade breakfast in...

We stayed at this hotel on a recent 4 night break . On arrival to our surprise we had been randomly upgraded from one of the smaller cheaper rooms to a superior room . We were given friendly helpful advice on places to visit, reducing queueing times and where to eat ( and all the recommendations for food were good)....

Stayed here for 2 nights in March 2017. We received a warm welcome and greeting from Marco and his sister. At check in, Marco suggested many restaurants and sites to visit. Next morning, homemade breakfast was delicious and plentiful, served by Mamma Teresa. Highly recommended!

We had a great stay here. The family running the place are very warm and friendly. Breakfast every morning was great and freshly cooked. The area is quiet and within walking distance of all the main sites. Highly recommended.

Room was big and clean, but uninspiring. Location good, could walk to everywhere in Rome or easy to use Public transport. 5 mins to Spanish steps and 10 mins to Trevi Fountain. The Managers were all lovely and very helpful and knowledgeable. Breakfasts were good and coffee lovely

Hotel Golden is basically run by a big family who manage day-to-day operations, hospitality & dining. You get a homely feel as all the staff members have a personal stake at making sure your experience is great. We were even upgraded to a bigger room as we had a lot of luggage. Yes, the interior is a bit dated- but...

Our family loved staying at Hotel Golden. The rooms were comfortable and clean. I was really impressed with the personal care we were given by this family run hotel. They made suggestions for restaurants that the locals enjoy, helped us with directions, and told us the sites not to miss. The breakfast, homemade by Mom, was the BEST breakfast we've...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
