This family run hotel with only 15 rooms is located next to the Borghese Park and just 15 min walk to the Spanish steps in a quiet area with several restaurants close by. You can walk to most attractions, or take the bus nearby. Taxis are around 10-12 €. The warm friendliness and care from the moment we reserved the...

We just spent three nights with our second family at the Hotel Golden. This is our second time there and it just gets better and better. Giuseppe, Marco, Maria Theresa, Alena, Papa and, especially, Mama took great care of us. The location is superb, sharing a block with the MUCH pricier Gran Fiore Marriott, and next to the Borghese Gardens....

This was our first trip to Rome and we selected the Hotel Golden based on the reviews in Trip Advisor. We were not disappointed. We stayed here one night before our cruise and four nights after the cruise. Our rooms were clean and comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The hotel is close to public transportation-- buses and the Metro--...

Fabulous place! Great price, great location near to restaurants, shopping and sites! Rooms full of character! We highly recommend this property. The family that runs the property spent time with us mapping out the sites, and ensured our stay in Rome was memorable. They did everything to accommodate us with comfort and convenience.

We had a great time staying here. Guiseppe and his family are so friendly and accommodating and are more than willing to guide you on what to do and where to eat. Breakfast was also exceptional. Would stay again!

Located in a nice neighborhood, close enough to city, subway, and good restaraunts, but far enough out that it was quiet. Service was incredible, including very good reccomendations for nearby restaraunts. Our room was very spacious and featured some awesome disco lights in the shower. In the midst of a busy city where nothing is inexpensive, hotel golden is a...

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.

The Hotel Golden of Rome is a small and genuine family run hotel where you will be welcome as family. The hotel is located in one of the best spots of the city, just behind the oasis of the Borghese Gardens (where you can visit the famous Borghese Gallery Museum) walking out of our property, in less than 100 meters you will be on Via Vittorio Veneto from where you can reach in 10 minutes of nice and enjoyable walk the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, the Pantheon, Piazza Navona and Campo di Fiori.Very well served with public transport (mini bus like the 116 and 116T, from just around the corner will take you almost every where in Rome) including a very convenient stop right next to the Vatican Square.Bus 53 and 80X directly to the Colosseum.Bus 63 to Trastevere and the Jewish Ghetto.Besides all that, we have two metro stops closeby: Barberini and Spagna. Our location is full of small little restaurants and trattorie (reasonable prices and great food and wine) we will share all that info with our guests upon arrival (places where we go ourselves to eat with the family)in other words, the Hotel Golden of Rome (like the many reviews of our dear guests around the world say) is a family run hotel for families right in the center of Rome!Full air conditioned (and air conditioning that works)free wifi in all the hotel. And the best of the best: our mother's homey breakfast (every morning she makes breakfast for our guests just like she did at home) from omelettes to "frittata", pancakes, cinnamon french toasts, croissants, crostata, ciambellone, ham, cheese, salami, mortadella, fresh tomatoes, mozzarella, ricotta, and many other daily recipes that she brings new for our guests to enjoy (like her very very light "tiramisu") you have to try it!Come and visit us.. We will be so happy to meet you! ... more   less
