Overall good value for money for a budget hotel. The two males on reception when we arrived were not very friendly or helpful, however two girls were nice and helpful, as was the lady who cleaned the rooms.Room was clean and comfortable and bathroom and shower clean. Location was great, right next to Termini with lots of good bars and cafes... More

We only stayed here over night as we had to catch the train early the next morning... The staff weren't overly friendly and we were taken from the reception to down another corridor up a lift to our room. It wasn't dirty it, but it wasn't very nice, the bed was hard - although a lot of beds in Italy... More

Hotel was awful, very rude stuff, extremely dirty room with terrible smell, the mirror was broken and the stuff replied "yes but you can see yourself". You must avoid this hotel even if its your last choice.

The breakfast which was supposed to be included in the rate was just a coffee or juice and a croissant in a travel cafe up the road !!! Every movement was monitored on a close circuit Tv which made us feel very uncomfortable as I think they monitored the inside of the rooms as well

I stayed in this hotel because is near fron Roma Termini. This is the only advantage. The price is high for what the hotel offers. The floor was so dirty that my feet could get black after a few minutes walking on it. There was no hot water in the shower during the day, only at night. The street is... More

The Milazzo is one of several hotels in the same building, close to Roma Termini - which is actually its best feature. The lobby is one one floor and the few rooms are two floors up. some have called this 2nd and 4th floors, but in Europe where what Americans refer to the first floor is called the ground floor,... Practically a block from the Eastern entrace to the train station so getting there with bags was very easy. The building was rather dumpy but the room was clean and modern. The room itself was tiny (very old school) but the fixtures and the room and bathroom were newly renovated. TV's in the rooms but no internet access or phones.... More

Good hotel for a short stay or citytrip. Rooms are basic but clean. Good location next to Termini trainstation. The hotel offers no breakfast, lunch or dinner, just rooms. You can get breakfast in a bakery next door, price included. Rather expensive... 80€ for 1 night... but this is Rome.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
