Just getting around to write about Giovy..............We visited Rome in the summer of 2014 for about a week and had a very pleasant stay. The location is excellent , close to the metro , restaurants and quite central to a lot of attractions. The rooms are comfortable and the continental breakfast is a great way to start your day.

Stayed here with a friend for two nights while in Rome. The location is walking distance from the train station and fairly easy to find - a bit confusing when we got in the courtyard but a man (workman or gardener?) saw us walking around a bit lost and called us over to direct us. The manager was lovely, gave...

Lovely staff! So helpful and friendly. Comfy enough beds, clean rooms and bathroom, good wifi, good air conditioning, very easy to find. And definitely a great location-we walked everywhere! I would definitely stay again!!!

This place was in a great spot! Close to the station and places to eat which was great! We walked from the station and walked everywhere else! Big days walked but coming back to a comfy bed was a bonus!! The gentleman on arrival was lovely (and when departing he printed my itinerary off for free) but I was a...

We stayed here twice during our Rome/ Pompei visit, the guys at Giovy were very helpfull, funny to talk to, and the rooms were nice and clean. The first room was with balcony, the other not, but we liked both the rooms. All our love and thanks to the staff at Giovy

Ok accommodation. Nothing special, but not bad. Would I stay hear again...maybe for a night or two, but not for four nights. Location is very good. We walked everywhere in Rome from here. Couple of minutes from the train station as well. Hosts were friendly and helpful. I asked for some maintenance and it was done within 30 minutes. I...

It is very near the bus station but it is a rough area. Very damp rooms, breakfast is terrible and not very helpful staff. Would definitely not recommend this place as it is not cheap either. Bus from the airport was 8 eur each return and took about 45 min.

Yes, the location is extremely convenient, as many have said, but the staff went way beyond what passes for hospitality in the world today. We had an accident resulting in injuries before arriving at Roma Termini, and without our even asking for it, our host sent a complementary car. When the driver couldn't find us, the owner walked to the...

My friend and I visited Rome for 6 days and nights in July this year. We arrived late (around 10pm) as our flight was so delayed and we were tired from our long journey. The staff were friendly, but we were requested to pay the whole fee as soon as we arrived before even seeing the room, which I found...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
