One night business trip. Location close-ish to the vatican. Old hotel set within an old palace. Kind staff, poor linens, breakfast definitely poor for the price of 12€.
I recommend it only if you have nowhere else to go
Why I'm giving 4 stars: this is a no-frills hotel very conveniently located. Specifically, metro Ottaviano - 2-3 min walk and Vatican a short walk away, maybe 10 or so. I have no idea if they offer breakfast but there is a bakery and other...More
Had a twin room for a three day visit. Breakfast for 6 euros was perfect to start the day. Room was clean with bathroom- slightly small but got the job done. The staff were very helpful- provided me with a European plug for my charger...More
I attended a scientific conference, so selected this hotel as it is on the bus 982 bus route to Auditorium Parco della Musica (conference venue). It is also less than 5min walk to Ottavia metro, so easy access to get to the main train station...More

Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets,
quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.

I used the train from the airport to Termini Station, then the Metro to Ottaviano, and walked "1 block". The train I used was the Leonardo da Vinci @ maybe costs 14 Euro, the Metro is Line A, direction Batitsini. Exit Metro to left, first exit, walk same direction on Julius Caesar to the corner. Hotel is to right from the corner.
