It's my third visit to this lovely B&B. As usual: I got a very nice room with en-suite spacious toilet+shower, tasty and variegate breakfast in a welcoming atmosphere. It has free WiFi. The B&B is located in central Rome and is very well connected with plenty of bus lines easily reaching the historical center and Termini station. Of course, will... More

Although we had problems caused by the booking agency, the room and staff of Porta Pia Bed and Breakfast were really warm and welcoming. The room was really nice, modern, clean and spacious. I would recommend it to anyone who is visiting Rome, since it is close to the main station and well connected to public transportation.

When I tried to reserve the room by paying online, my card was not accepted. Having contacted the host, they confirmed my reservation anyways, and reassured about the possibility of payment at the check-in. One day before the arrival, I called the hotel and my reservation had been mysteriously cancelled, as the host "forgot to do it".

The owner were not expecting us, so we had to wait for half an hour, until he showed up (and not answering the phone), though we were asked to inform him about our arrival which we did of course. He did not even had a room ready for us. Also, he refused to refund the breakfast which were booked seperately... More

When you arrive at Rome Termini, do not take a taxi to the hotel (we were charged £20), instead cross the road to the bus station and get either the number 60L or 90. These take you to within 2 roads of the hotel and will cost you only £1.50. Make sure you pay attention to the building numbers as... More

I've been to San Michele several times and enjoy the location. The last time I arrived, there was no one to greet me. I had a time constraint and had to get my rental car back soon but there was no one in reception. I hauled my luggage up, having been let in by a tenant, only to face a... More

This was our last hotel stop on our tour of Europe, and it sure was a let down, and one of the worst places we stayed. First of all, if you are going to be taking a taxi here, keep in mind that this bed and breakfast is technically outside the city walls, so you may be charged extra than... More

Very nice B&B in a local neighborhood, with good prices, clean, comfortable rooms with a nice terrace for evening relaxations. Closely located to bus stops, great restaurants and local markets. Great local experience staying close to the locals and the interaction was great. Excellent breakfast for B&B standards, although you had to pay extra (5 EU, a great value for... More

After paying 28 Euros to get to the city Center from the airport and another 6 Euros to get to the hotel, we were greeted with an "I'm sorry, but we sold your room to someone else who walked in earlier." It was 5pm on a Friday in Rome. Every hotel was booked because of a professional tennis tournament and... More

“There is only 6 rooms there, but I am sure you can request one. We were in number 5 at the back of the building, plenty of natural light but on the smaller side. More than we needed but some people might wish for more.”
