Break fast is just a one soft drink and one croissant this is what means "Breakfast is included in the room rate" Low water pressure. Tiny lift makes it so hard if you have a little baby with buggy. Old building No safe box no fridge or mini bar Not very pleasant stay

Very convenient for travelling around the heart of Rome. Easy to shop for groceries. It is very near to the Basilica di Santa Maria Maggiore which is really beautiful, and within walking distance to il Colosseo and many other tourist attractions. Good value for money if you are staying in Rome during the off-peak seasons. Helpful staff and clean environment....

It rarely take the time to write a review, but this hotel deserves at least a brief comment. They are by far the best B&B I've stayed in. Super clean, even slick, attention to details, welcoming atmosphere, convenient arrangement in the room. Just like home! This is the hotel where you want to stay, hands down. The staff was great...

Booked this hotel by chance from Expedia, then on arriving late at night in the dark began to have second thoughts. However not to worry after an initial problem in finding the front door (as there are no signs, Tip use the street numbers and check the the small name tabs) We were welcomed by the guy on the desk...

We had a great stay at Casa Carra and would definitely recommend it for a good price/quality deal. The staff at the reception are very friendly and helpful, giving you directions, good advice and even an umbrella and bottles of water when in need :) Metro station just across the street. The Colosseum within walking distance. Good value for money!

The hotel is walking distance from the metro, which is great. We made a last minute reservations and were greeted at late hours by friendly and helpful owners. The rooms were very clean with comfy beds and great showers. It is also very safe in the hotel with security cameras. I would recommend this hotel to friends and stay here...

One of the cheaper places we could find in Rome and we were really happy with the choice. The reception guy (I wish I could remember his name, he was from Romania) was sooo friendly and helpful, best person we encountered on our trip. Hotel was really clean, and good location, close to metro and coliseum. The room even had...

Booked this hotel in Rome last minute for our stay in April. The guy at the reception was very helpful and nice! This was the first time we were in Rome and he circled out the attractions around the city for us and taught us how to get there, simply amazing saved myself the hassle to figure it all out!...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
