They never change any towels, papers. And the room was too cold to sleep. They have radiator but it's not working. So if I have a chance to stay in rome, I'll pay more and search another hotel. Never hoter beautiful.

The room wasn't clean enough (they didn't change towels),the internet connection was so bad (we didn't have at all any internet connection for three days),the decoration couldn't be worst nevertheless the breakfast was great (it was served at the next door cafe, not inside the hotel).

Couldn't believe how cheap it was. It was at a convenient location 1 minute walk from the train station and metro station which is very helpful when getting to other attractions (20 minute walk to colosseum). Was clean and neat. Good for the price. Was super easy to find.

I am not sure why people are not happy with this hotel. We had a double room with an ensuite which was spacious and clean and tidy. The odd lights didn't work but that was all. It was also right by the train station so ideal if you have a train to catch. I saw the communal toilets/ showers and...

Nice location. But apart from that there is nothing great about this place. You get what you pay for. Just bare necessities. Although I met some great people here. Also, the staff was really helpful in planning my trip.

This is a great hotel for people who want a no-frills bed and shower. It is very easy to find - you can literally see it from the airport-coach station outside Termini. I have stayed here each summer for about 10 years now and had no complaints. Ok, so it is scruffy looking and the TV / Wifi don't always...

Ironically not so beautiful. Or clean. But very close to Termini station which was handy, although not that safe. No air con or even a fan proved testing in the Roman summer, combined with a shower that was either ice cold or scolding hot, wallpaper peeling from every wall and a toilet that sprayed you each time you flushed it...

I have stayed in a few hotels and hostels now this being the worst. I think what topped it off for me was there being no cover on top on the toilet so when it was flushed water sprayed across the tiny bathroom. Unfortunately we found this out first hand! Don't leave your toothbrush out next to the sink and...

The receptionist was far from welcoming, but we just didn't care just as long as we weren't in the literal 40C heat. The lift looked dodgy but it worked fine otherwise it's a hard trek up a few floors of you're lucky. The room was ok, we had a fridge and comfortable enough beds, but the killer was that the...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
