YellowSquare has redefined the meaning of what a hostel is. It is no longer a place where you just lay your head to rest in a bunk bed. Some of our other great hostel features include:- FREE WI-FI - BAR - Breakfast (a la carte) available from 7 am to noon - Food available all day - Patio - All non-smoking bedrooms - Air conditioning - Great walking tours, bike tours and FREE TOURS - Supermarket around the corner- FREE city maps - Safe paid car parking nearby - FREE hot showers 24h - No lockout - No curfew - 24 HOUR CHECK-IN (you can check-in ANYTIME after 3PM, the reception is always open, so you don't need to tell us your estimated arrival time) All our PRIVATE ROOMS are equipped with: - private en-suite bathroom - independent air-conditioning and heating- a safety deposit box - a hair dryer - FREE Wi-Fi. Rome CITY TAX is NOT INCLUDED in the price of your bed and is payable directly in cash at the reception. The amount is 3,50€ PER PERSON PER NIGHT IN CASH.

I stayed there for a week a year ago, since then I can't go to Rome and stay there or just pass by. A welcoming, caring, safe and perfect place to meet people from all over the world. All the staff and managers of the hostel and the bar are competent and friendly, always ready to help the guests. The variety of services (hairdresser, teleworking space, activities, tour, laundry...) make it a unique place for travelers. Go there with your eyes closed, and enjoy the moment!

I had such an interesting stay here at the Yellow Square. I stayed here for two nights with Contiki in a four-share room and then two nights in a private room. First of all, we had such big issues with our room keys. Someone needed to get an extra key to enter the room but we were told that they couldn't issue a new spare key and instead had to cancel the existing keys and issues four new ones. This is incredibly frustrating in a room with three other people who are all out and about. This happened not once, but twice - one member of our room left early and handed his key back to reception so they inexplicably locked all our keys and no one could get in. Just doesn't make any sense. We shared our story with another room and they said - oh no they just gave us an extra one, which I think understandably was so annoying to hear! After my contiki tour, I hung around until 2pm to check into my private room. I went down to reception and there were a few people around. A staff member came up to me and asked if I was okay and I politely said "Oh I'm just trying to check in" and she snapped back "Well that's what everyone's doing here" and went and grabbed me a buzzer. I was told it would be 1-2hrs wait just to check in and get my room key. This was so frustrating because I assumed I would be able to check in at 2pm so ultimately wasted an hour doing nothing when I could've been exploring Rome. I have never experienced such a long wait to check in at any other hostel or hotel I've ever been to. At least I still had my Contiki room to go back and wait in, but I would've been very disappointed if I had just got to Rome and was told to wait in the lobby for two hours to check in. Finally, we had some issues with our tour group's rooms. While we were out for the day, two rooms got entirely packed up - the staff throw everyone's items into random luggage and in literal garbage bags and then sticky taped a sign that said 'Your items are at reception'. Then they had issues accessing their own belongings. As you can imagine, it felt like a HUGE breach of privacy and caused major dramas as some members of the rooms had to get to the airport and staff refused to give access to their belongings. The bar across the road connected the hostel was great. The rooms were fine and clean. It was a pity that crazy processes and rude staff ruined our stay. I wouldn't recommend staying there again.

Came here after a horrible experience at Generator Rome. We were disgusted and tired and the staff at YellowSquare Rome gave us a free drink and got us all signed up for a walking tour. It was free and REALLY FUN! The beds and linens, rooms, and bathroom were really clean when we arrived and that was super important to us! There is electric scooter parking right out front, so we never needed to walk far to find scooters for all of us. The YellowBar downstairs has great eats, and really good beer choices! They even have a Hefeweizen ON TAP! The nighttime activities at YellowBar are really good and VERY lively! This is what you want a hostel to be. The staff at the hostel desk and at YellowBar are SO NICE! We have already discussed changing our Summer plans and coming back to stay here before we go home, at the end of our trip!

We had such a great time at Yellow Square! The rooms were very clean, the airconditioning was a LIFE SAVER in the summer heat, and the staff was super friendly. The common room was also great- there was a Fusball and Pool table which made it really easy to meet other people in the hostel. The Bar across the street was also soooo fun and we got a good discount for drinks as guests. Another great addition was the location. It's a 10 minute walk from Termini Station and all the major attractions were technically walking distance- we walked like 40 minutes to get to the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Highly recommend!

I had a great time at the Yellow Square hostel, i enjoyed it so much that an hour after my check out I checked in again for one more night. Its a clean and tidy place with good facilities and Nice rooms, especially the AC is great. I had a fun and warm welcome by staff, I find them very funny, caring and they are passionate for their work. In the air you can feel the energetic and good vibe of the place, it gave me a lot of energy. They also organise a lot of fun acivities, so you het the know the other guests. All in all would Stay definitely Stay again! Special shout out to Eliza, Sammy and Serhat!

A great stay here! Very welcoming and friendly in reception! The socials spaces were easy to access as well as clean. Rooms were large and extremely well set up with sharing bathroom and lockers and safes included. The bar across the street was well priced and everyone was very friendly! I would highly recommend this hostel if visiting Rome its close to the metro and station making it easy to access different areas

The young fun atmosphere was great plus all the services of a great hostel - laundry, kitchen, work space. Best of all, the breakfast is excellent at the cute little restaurant. The restaurant is also an excellent meeting spot for travelers and they have fun music at night at the bar.

I stayed twice at Yellow Square Rome different times in May 2022. It's not an ordinary hostel. Although I travelled solo and despite my poor english and italian, i really didn't feel myself like a stranger thanks to 24/7 available, friendly and warmful staff. Especially very helpful and welcoming Serhat, Nergis and beauty Luana who she has aura like women in the Fellini movies. In here, there are also many events, activities and facilities here. If you want to get away from Rome to Campania, Liguria or Toscana for 2-3 days with your backpack, they have a perfectly simple, cheap and useful system where you can leave your luggage.During my stay, I didn't encounter any negative situation except the noise of the Anglo-Saxon youth while at their bar. Anyway, I'm not a bar person, I didn't mind that either. This is a unique place to stay in Rome every way. Ci rivediamo, grazie mille di tutto.
