We stayed here for two nights and while it's great to have a free cell phone to use, it doesn't compensate for the terrible breakfast served (boiled eggs, packaged baked goods, horrible coffee). We chose not to even go down one morning. Also, there is inadequate security. Another guest left his bag in the breakfast room to go get his...

This is a rather traditional hotel, with nothing modern in the furniture and decoration. It has a special taste of old Rome buildings. Le staff is very efficient and warmful. The location is perfect for moving around the city and elsewere. Termini train station is very close as are buses and subway. But this neighbour, around Teatro dell'Opera and Santa...

This hotel is located close to the main Termini in Rome which in turn puts you about a 10 min walk to the colliseum/forum and about 15 mins to the Trevi Fountain. We found the front desk staff friendly and helpful. The room was beautiful and the beds comfortable to sleep in. The morning breakfast was good with a nice...

I cannot remember why I picked this hotel for a two night stay , except that it was near the train station and it had a roof garden. It has many rooms. The front desk staff was less than gracious. The room was bigger than most Italian hotels of the lesser priced category. Pick a smaller, funkier hotel. The roof...

The staff is very friendly, the hotel is clean, the location is not bad, few minutes walk from the Rome Termini station, close to the subway and not that far from the main city attractions...nevertheless the room was in the center of the building, dark and without windows. Such room should not be used to host guests but as service room...

Perfect location to explore Rome, the hotel is location only 5-8 minutes from Termini station. It's walking distance to the Spagna area which took around 15-20mins too. The hotel located within walking distance to airport shuttle and hop-on bus station B. The hotel staffs are friendly and helpful. The breakfast at the hotel could be crowded.

Hotel Impero is perfectly situated close to the Termini Station only 5 minutes walking, near restaurants, coffee, and souvenir shops. The hotel's staff were friendly, helpful and spoke English. Our triple room was on the 4rth floor and it was very clean quiet and big enough for the three of us. The bed was comfortable the pillows as well and...

Very clean hotel. Reception staff very helpful. Two minutes walk from Termini Station. Easy to find your way about with the map provided by hotel staff. Breakfast was adequate not really to our taste. We walked everywhere but the metro stopped at all the main attractions.

This hotel is in a perfect location to explore the city. The hotel is clean and the staff are friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 4 bed family room (120) which was fine with a large en-suite bathroom and a terrace (although not a great view!!). The only issue was that the double bed is a sofa bed and...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
