My husband and I stayed here the night before an early flight out of Rome. The hotel had just re opened a few days prior after closing down for Covid for a year or so. You’d never know they had been closed for so long. The place looked fantastic, with gleaming floors and fixtures. The front desk welcomed us with a smile and perfect English. They offered to take our bags up to our room (we declined), and upgraded us to an executive room upon request. We ate dinner there, the food and cocktails were top notch. Both the bartender and our waiter were excellent. Other reviews had complained about the prices on the menu but we felt they were fair for the location and quality. (Both great). Our room was comfortable and clean. There was a bathtub, and a shower, separate. The drive up to the hotel is nothing to write home about. It does look a bit dodgy with weedy streets, tired apartment buildings and a bit of an industrial park feel as you get closer to the property. But the property itself is well kept. There is nothing nearby to do, nor nearby restaurants to eat at. This hotel is more of a convention center. There are something like 600 rooms! We didn’t need a ride to the airport so I can’t comment on the shuttle service or the parking.

We stay here regularly the night before we travel out of FCO Rome Airport to avoid the early morning traffic on the Grande Raccordo Annullare (freeway); which can be crazy packed. If driving, hotel is not simple to get too even though it stands out from the freeway. The property is large but incoherent and the restaurant is poor. The rooms are ok but dated which include a 21 inch TV with sketchy reception. Being a loyal Bonvoy member and travelling often in the US and international, this hotel is simply convenient because of the proximity to the airport (7 mile down the freeway). Pricing is adequate for what it offers.

I felt as if I were on the movie set of I Am Legend where it’s the end of the world and the only people left alive are staying in this hotel. This place is really outdated, located in a desolate part of Rome, and is way oversized for the amount of people that stayed here. The shuttle bus from the airport is extremely difficult to find. Plus it’s not a free service. You have to pay once you arrive at the hotel. The same is for the shuttle to the city, which goes down a lot of windy back roads for a while, so it’s not a quick trip. Check in was slow and the staff wasn’t all that friendly. Even when I was checking out the next morning the process was extremely slow. I was third in line and waited over 15 minutes. I finally left because I was going to miss the city shuttle. The room itself is stuck in the decor of the 80s and the furniture is so random. The rooms are very large but there isn’t enough furniture to fit into the space. We ate at the restaurant in the hotel because there was nothing else nearby. The food was pretty good. Overall this hotel is one of the strangest places I’ve stayed. I would look elsewhere.

Given the current state of Europe's upcoming travel season, I wanted to highlight a few of the best reasons to keep your summer holiday / vacation plans. Rome is definitely one of them, and the Rome Marriott Park Hotel is one of the best in Rome. This hotel is a stellar example of what great service is! You will find it very difficult to find better service anywhere else in and around Rome. Essentially, half way between the airport and the city center, it is easily accessible to both. The breakfast buffet is also one of the best I have had as I travel. The executive lounge is well equipped, very good evening buffet, and the staff is the best. Honestly, one of the best choices in Europe's greatest city! I will be posting an update later this summer about this hotel just to keep everyone up to date, given the situation. Again, Rome and the Rome Park Hotel are definitely reasons to keep those plans for summer 2020!

Chose this location due to the proximity to the airport. It is a nice location, and has shuttle service to the airport and central Rome. The restaurant is good. The main drawback is the lack of a cantina area to purchase snacks, water, or sodas before you head out.
