Detailed Reviews
Although this is not a luxury hotel, the staff are extremely professional and go out of their way to help. Particular mention goes to Ricardo who assisted me by making an important call for me after hours and acting as an interpreter for me. Also I arrived 5 hours before check in time yet they accommodated me right away.
The restaurant serves very good and reasonably priced meals.
The rooms are clean and comfortable and the location is quiet and charming.

Villa Eur is essentially a conference hotel. Rooms are spacious and air conditioned. Much cheaper than equivalent in the centre. Dining options at the hotel are disappointing and quite expensive. Staff are friendly and helpful. The hotel is isolated on a hill, but No 30 bus 7 min walk takes you into the heart of Rome in 45 mins. There is a supermarket 5 min walk away with excellent deli

After my wife ended up in hospital while on holiday I moved to this hotel for it's close proximity. Very friendly staff, very helpful & provided wheelchair when my wife came out of hospital. Had a lovely "conservatory" area which was a comfortable place to relax and walk around. Meals all very good, breakfasts fantastic.

The room had a flooding shower, black bugs coming out of sink and on bedroom floor! Staff was friendly and helpful. Big gates on property close at 11 pm and you’ll need to plan for that. Stay at Shangrila instead!

The hotel is a special structure based on an old monastery. Car parking huge and free. Reception ok with staff polite and friendly. Room was comfortable and quite big. Restaurant ok but nothing special. Breakfast should improve, there was no buffet...

This is a beautiful spacious hotel in a quiet pine forest location. The only snag for me was the steep uphill climb to reach the building, particularly after walking around town all day, or carrying luggage! The closest metro station is Laurentina, which is at southern end of line B, which takes you right to the centre of town. There is also a convenient bus service nearby, which takes you to the nearby Euroma 2 shopping centre.
My room was a little small, but adequate and the bathroom was fine, with a shower. There was a small fridge, TV and a wardrobe with a safe- however, the safe was too small for a laptop. I found the bright orange wall paint a little overpowering though. The location was very quiet, although there was quite a lot of banging from the room upstairs, which sounded as if the furniture was being constantly moved around.
The staff were friendly and helpful, and quickly sorted out my non-functioning TV. Breakfast was a little limited, with fruit, yogurts, and bread on offer, but not much in the way of cheese or cold meats to put on it. The wi-fi signal was poor in my room, and kept dropping out- this could be improved.
The hotel has a good restaurant, although it's a little expensive. It also has large terraces, both outside and glassed-in, where you can sit and have a coffee and read.
Overall, I had a very pleasant stay, but it was a shame about the noise from neighbouring rooms and the poor wi-fi signal. Make sure you have plenty of stamina if you're arriving on foot!

I stayed in this hotel with my friend on vacation, and immediately after walking through the gate at the entrance of the hotel we were creeped out. The building from the inside looks like a hospital ward, and it was nearly a five minute walk to get to our room because of the extremely long hallways. They lost our reservation, and when we fixed it, they gave us the wrong type of bed (queen instead of twins), with no blanket, only sheets. They had a complimentary breakfast, but when we arrived at 9:30, most things were closed, and the food all tasted really strange. My friend and I were scared to eat much because we were worried about getting sick. Also, this hotel is a 45+ minute commute from the city of Rome, so if you are looking to explore the city, this hotel makes it very inconvenient to do so. Thankfully, they let us cancel our reservation for the second night and refunded our money (but only after talking to multiple receptionists, as the first wouldn’t allow us to have our money back).

First of all this hotel is not based anywhere near the centre of Rome, but don't let that put you off. The hotel has ample parking (even coches park there), so if you're arriving by car no worries there. The hotel is located about a 15-20 minute walk from Laurentina Metro Station, which also has buses to the centre of Rome. So leave the car behind, jump on the train and off you go (unless of course you want a white knuckle ride to Rome). The area is very quiet and there are shops, takeaways nearby.
Anyway, to the hotel itself. The large buidlings in the local area are all built in an impressive Facist architecture style also which includes this hotel. The rooms are old but have all that is required for a modern day hotel. I stayed in this hotel for three nights and had no problems.

I like the building. It's quirky. But they couldn’t get me something as simple as an iron. They send the laundry out apparently. However, despite promising to send my shirts out today to be ironed, they didn't. Sorry dudes, you’re lovely, but that won't fix me turning up for a meeting in a creased shirt. Simple stuff.

The hotel is located in a really peaceful part of Rome. Not close to the center but there is a metro station nearby.
The quality of the rooms and breakfast were quite good.
It also has a huge parking area.
