Greeted in this very small, elegant, very simple B & B by the owner Max. Very friendly, helped us with everything we needed. Not the closest location to the downtown, for walking, but was very scenic and is very close to bus lines. But for the price, you absolutely can't beat it. Some great restaurants just around the corner as...

We've stayed with Max four times and it has always been wonderful! Clean, comfortable & simple, it's a haven in an excellent location. Max is the perfect host- kind, generous & sensitive- we're already planning our next visit.

We stayed here for three nights. It was great, really clean, quiet and the rooms were cleaned out everyday. The host Max is really helpful and has good English. The location was great about 15/20 min walk to city centre. The price was very reasonable also.

Max went out of his way to make sure that our first stay in Rome was wonderful. Away, but not too far, from the tourist craziness, we got to drink in a litlle of Roman everyday life in the Testaccio neighborhood. The clean and spacious room had a bathroom, and a balcony from which we could see the streets come...

Testaccio da Max has everything you need to visit Rome. It is located in a charming neighbor-hood near the river Tiber. Bus stops and metro are located in convenient distance. Massimiliano, the owner is very good guiding, answering questions, making breakfast. Room has its own bathroom and is equipped with everything we need. I would recommend this B&B 

We stayed 3 nights at the B&B of Max and we will certainly return. Testaccio is very quiet while being close to the center of Rome (15 minutes walk to the Colisée). Large room, very comfortable bed, very clean. Max is very welcoming and great coffee in the morning!

This B & B is in the heart of work class Rome. Our room was spacious, clean and quiet. We had a small, private bathroom but it wasn't ensuite- a bit of an inconvenience, but not too bad. The other 2 rooms offered did have ensuite bathrooms so you need to specify. Although we enjoyed the area, it was a...

Staying in Testaccio

Neighbourhood Profile
Testaccio
Put the house music on replay and you have Testaccio, an ancient Roman port and former working class neighbourhood where the bass is set to high almost every night of the week. Its collection of discoteche (nightclubs), street parties, and crowded restaurants give it its well-deserved party reputation. During the daytime, Testaccio is more easy listening than club hit, the area is full of locally owned small businesses and has one of the city's larger produce markets.
