Amazing family hotel! Staff is very friendly and can give you lots of tips of what to see in Rome. Room was very spacious as well as bathroom. We had everything we needed. Everyday cleaning was done properly. Cleaning lady even moved our luggage up to properly wipe the floor. Breakfast was also very nice, delicious strong coffee made fresh per your wishes, pastry, cakes, juices, fresh fruits, simply everything you need. Accesibility to the city center and airport also great - metro and train station nearby. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Rome.

Very nice hotel. The staff is really very friendly and helpful. The rooms are comfortable and beautiful. Position is really good..a lot of good restaurants close by and close to public transport. The breakfast is something special.. a lot of delicious self made things..specially the yogurt..make you feel at hone. Really recommended it

Our stay in Hotel Tuscolana was great. Special thanks to Bianca and Bruno for the care and the nice breakfasts every day. Thanks to Chiara for the warm welcome and explaining how to get to all the good sights. The only thing we had trouble with was the lady above the hotel. She's a night owl and we heard her making noise in the middle of the night. Nothing the hotel staff can doing anything about, since the lady has nothing to do with the hotel. Also good to know is that the hotel is being updated bit by bit. They already did the showers, which are btw couples showers (as in two showers side by side in the same shower cabin).

Hotel Tuscolana is a wonderful pick if visiting Rome. My sisters and I were able to stay in a room with 3 twin beds (rare in Europe) and the accommodations were spacious for Europe as well. Even the bathroom was large and even had a window. The staff of the Hotel Tuscolana were excellent as well, very friendly, and helpful in all things needed. Whether it was offering refreshments, breakfast, beer, coffee, help with directions, dinner reservations, event tickets- they helped! We are a needy group, and the hotel staff was more than accommodating to us in every regard. The breakfast assortment was also terrific. The fresh bakery items and homemade fruit salad and yogurt were supreme! I loved that the fruit salad had no melon!! I am sure the fair varies, but I would expect all that they make is wonderful and fresh. Additionally, the hotel is steps away from a terrific restaurant (I forgot the name, but the restaurant had the BEST gnocchi I have ever had in my life!!), public transit, and a grocery store. Within a short walk, there is a beautiful church, a gym, coffee shops, and various boutiques.…

The hotel is in Tuscolana, 5 minutes walking to the metro line A. Considering the price we paid for our room the rate is negative. The room was very small, without even a desk, with a small fridge and a huge tv. The bathroom needed needed basic maintenance. The personnel is kind and professional, breakfast is also not adequate for a 3 stars with the exception of a fresh cut fruit cup and yogurt. Overall, depending on the price, it could be a Rome staying on a budget

Thank you very much for your candid review and we are happy you appreciated our friendly service but we are sorry you did not report your disappointment on the bath maintenance or room space during your stay as 90% of our STANDARD double rooms (Size 16 m² as published on line) are larger than the FRENCH typology (Size 10 m² as published on line) choose by you. Thanks for mentioning our breakfast variety but, as you are a very active and thoughtful Tripadvisor contributor, we want to suggest you do not rely solely on stars rating to determine which kind of breakfast you should find during your stay at the hotel, as no food offer guide lines are given by Statement of Definition of National minimum Standards of Services for Hotels Classification. We always suggest to check breakfast typology served ad hotel’s facilities advertised from hotels before booking. Breakfast typology we advertise and serve in our hotel is the “Continental Breakfast”, the one you mainly encounter in places like Italy, France and the Mediterranean areas, a lighter and a more delicate alternative to the full English breakfast. This breakfast is typically consisting of pastries and baked goods, fruits and coffee mainly all shelf-stable items in portion sizes but here at the Hotel Tuscolana we modeled a buffet self-service that offers much more than what is expected from a standard "Continental Breakfast" as we offer, together with our homemade cakes, both sweet and savory, biscuits, rusks, butter, honey, jams, crackers, bread, cereals, fresh fruit, packaged and homemade yoghurts, fruit juices, different typologies of croissants; we also offer cold cuts and sliced cheeses and, upon request, all types of gluten-free and lactose-free preparations and drinks, as also a fresh brewed coffee and cappuccino, like at a bar, is not easy to find in a hotel breakfast and, nevertheless, we are very sorry that our breakfast did not meet your expectations. Rome is one of the world's best-loved travel destinations and we feel to clarify, to all potential travelers and readers, that it’s very hard to find budget Hotels in this city, above all when is conveniently located as we are. The latest statistical data report € 145,00 as the average cost of overnight accommodation in Rome in a low season (as per ex. February 2023 is!). May be a budget Hotel accommodation can be found in the main train station district, famous for budget hotels but, sometimes, also for low levels of security that make many visitors uncomfortable… may be better try to book a room in a Convent, is the main alternative to the standard Hotel rooms, you'll find a less services but the accommodation is at a fraction of the price of a hotel. This year we started renewing some of the bathrooms, (one of our small rooms already has a new one) and we are also renewing the furnitures. It would be such a pleasure to personally welcome you back to our improved hotel!

The hotel is very well located (near a station of the main Metro line). Both the rooms and the common area were very clean. We stayed in a triple room and it was very comfortable. The matresses were wonderful and the room was very quiet. Breakfast was diversified, with excellent bread and fruit. Last but not least, the staff was extremely warm and helpful!

Nice hotel, very kids friendly with nice clean rooms and bathroom. Staff were very welcoming us and try to help with explaining main city events for kids. It was very easy for transportation metro and buses with average trip time of 25 to 30 min toward Vatican, closeum and Spagna square

Great service, great staff, room clean and comfortable with air conditioning TV and minibar. Wonderful cakes at breakfast and if you are talkative enough you can even get away with a recipe 😋. Staff always looking to help you in case of need.

This is a well situated hotel near the train station for cheap connection to the airport and to the beach as well as close to the metro. The rooms where clean and the breakfasts were great the staff were friendly and helpful in offering eating and travel suggestions
