We stayed in Rome for 4 nights and WHR was great. We arrived late so picked up the keys and let ourselves in but this was easy enough. WHR is based on the first floor just round the corner from Trastevere main road but it wasn't noisy. I highly recommend Trastevere in general- Whilst the majority of touristy things we...

I stayed here for 5 nights and it was the perfect location for my trip to walk all over Rome and then be near wonderful trattorias and nightlife. The hosts are excellent and the rooms are clean and everything you need. It can be noisy depending on the other guests, but I was very pleased with my stay. I highly...

I strongly recommend the B&B WRH Trastevere, if you are looking for an affordable, clean apartment with such nice and helpful staff and close to the main activities in the city, including La Basilica di San Pietro. Whenever back to Rome will book WRH Trastevere again.

Stayed here twice during our three weeks in Italy. First of all the location is the best. Literally walking distance to just about everything in central Rome. So convenient! Rooms are really nice and large, clean and comfortable. The staff were friendly and very helpful, including making restaurant reservations for us. I think that the only reason that I didn't...

The building feels run down, the walls are paper thin (you hear people snore and all the street noise) and the room had absolutely no charm. But it's quite cheap, the hostess is nice and it's close to the restaurant district. There are lots of other better choices in Rome though!

We stayed 1 day at this, sort of, air bnb in the Trastevere section of Rome away from the noise of the city and crowds. We've been to Rome many times so this was our first time on the other side of the river and a delightful find. The room was a good size, bed comfortable, a/c worked great. Our...

Me and my girlfriend stayed here between august 6 to august 9 2016 and found it great. Located on a very calm street with a very discreet door that you could almost miss but just a few blocks away is the trastevere district that is just amazing with lots of food, drinks and people. The service was super, we got...

This hotel is located in a superb place (a quiet street) in Trastevere Rome just outside the tourist noice but with the best pizzeria of the neighbourhood on the next corner (I was told by locals and experience prooved). The hotel is on the second floor but just a few steps up (and the host helped me with my luggage)....

We really enjoyed our stay at WRH. In the northern part of Trastevere you are really close to all the major attractions. Get used to walking, break out your fitbit/Apple Watch and start counting those steps! The staff here was the best you could ever have. So helpful in ways beyond what they are required to do. Helped me print...

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
