Stayed 5 nights as a family of four. Good location close to Termini and Colosseum. Owners are friendly and very informative. Safe area and walk through the park infront. Room was large enough for Rome, breakfast and kitchen facilities were OK. They leave basic foodstuff for your personal use. Liked it...

I had booked a room with balcony with a view on Piazza Vittorio. Due to a mistake in their booking tool only a courtyard room was available. Gianpiero informed me about this issue one day in advance. He deeply apologised for the inconvenience and told me that there was no possible way to accomodate me in a balcony room because...

Well, the bedroom itself is Nice, very spacious, the bed is confortable and it is decorated with retro furnitures. The bathroom is small. It is located near the metro station, so is very convinient , but the atmosphere of the buildings Around the square is a little strange, perhaps because they are old and dirty, but I didn't feel me...

This hotel exceeds our expectations. The building outside seemed old with lots of graffiti but we were surprised when we get to the place. The room is bigger than what I expect. Everything is clean. Breakfast is self-serve. They offer varieties of cereals, bread, coffee, milk and juice. There are oven toaster, coffee maker, oven, and other stuff in the...

Comfy stylish rooms and loved the feel of the place...more local apartment than hotel (which I guess is the point...) Particularly thankful for the hints and tips we received...have been lucky enough to visit Rome several times and they were news to me! It will definitely be up there next time we're in Rome. Some don't like the area...it's a...

2 minute walk from the train station which makes it easy to see all the major sites, comfortable bedrooms which were clean however the bathroom was very small and hard to use. Mr frills was energetic and helpful when we arrived but was hard to contact after that when our key stopped working. The neighbourhood was sketchy because it's so...

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
