Pros - Great location - Friendly and helpful staff - Really versatile and delicious breakfast - plenty of supermarkets around - modern specious bedroom got free coffees and fancy TV Cons - No flat or wide path to pull your luggage - walk/shop the surrounding neighborhood has to be cautious - the sound insulation is not great I.e. easily to hear squeaking chair sound from up stairs or drunk people shouting outside - due to hotel’s energy policy, room heater is nearly useless; for my case, bathroom is even warmer than bedroom Conclusion: 7.5/10 If you seek a great spot to stay and this hotel meets your budget, I’d still recommend you give it a shot.
I really want thank very much all the staff at this great hotel Amazing service and proactive staff from the porters to the housekeepers, reception to Breakfast staff and the customer care staff to the the management I will decently pass again Grazie NH hotel piazza dei cinquecento Grazie
Beautiful hotel in a beautiful location (300m walk from the train station) and right next to the main bus hub for Rome. Shuttle bus from FCO drops off and collects from the train station so you are right at the hotel when you arrive from FCO. Rome main tourist attractions are within walking distance. Buffet breakfast was beautiful and plenty of food. The building itself is stunning. We didn't have dinner/lunch here because we were out and about during the day but no doubt it was also yummy. I cannot find a fault. We didn't try the spa but this gives us an excuse to return 😎. Well done to all the friendly helpful staff. All the staff were attentive and helpful. We will be back for the stunning rooftop view! Beimid ar ais!!!
The hotel with a long name is located right next to the Roma Termini (main train station). The facilities are quite modern and so is the decor unlike other Rome hotels. There is not a spa inside, but the friendly staff (e.g. Nice or Marta) can schedule you something at their nearby sister hotel. Other than that, the location is excellent as it is on the outskirts of the main tourist attractions and it is a bit quieter, but located at a major transit hub for the train from the airport and intercity trains (as well as taxis, buses, and streetcars). My wife and I stayed here twice at the beginning and end of our Italian adventure and we'd certainly stay here again.
We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we couldn't be happier about the service received. The suite was excellent and staff couldn't be more helpful and kind! Elviro Damiani in particular was exceptional, he shines in his role and really made our experience that much better. We'll definitely be back.
The hotel is gorgeous . Rooms are so tastefully decorated, very comfortable and modern in a building with great charm. Every single one of the employees working there are extremely kind and go above and beyond to make your stay unforgettable. Book with breakfast if you can because it is the best breakfast I’ve ever had. The only con is that you have breakfast there you won’t have room for lunch lol! I was concerned about the location but ended loving it. I will definitely stay there next time. Hop on hop off bus is next to the entrance and Ifound amazing places to eat just a couple of blocks away. If you are entering room by train don’t doubt it. I can’t think of anything I disliked . Everything was perfect!

I am breaking this into sections to give an honest and useful review of the NH Hotel at Palazzo Cinquecento. Hopefully future travelers will find this helpful. Location: Right outside Termini (1-2 min walk, literally right there), Romes main train station. Very very convenient location, was one of the main reasons I chose this hotel. Every bus and train you need to travel anywhere in Rome (or the country for that matter) is literally right outside, footsteps from your hotel room. Check in: We arrived earlier in the day around 9am, after an overnight flight from the US so our room was not ready. The manager (unfortunately I forget her name) was incredibly friendly and informative of the details of our stay and what was included. We booked through Amex so we received a $100 property credit. We also received a complementary upgrade to a larger room. Additionally they provided us with a complementary breakfast to comfort us after a long flight while waiting for the room. That was an unexpected added bonus. After walking around town for a bit we arrived back in the early PM and our room was ready. After settling in the manager called up to ensure our needs were met. Special note: the Bellman Matteo was very nice, and stored our luggage during the wait for our room. The room: Our room was spacious by European standards, larger then the typical Italian hotels I was accustomed to staying in. It was well appointed; toothbrush/paste, slippers/robes, espresso machine, a fully stocked mini bar , and high end bath amenities (though in efforts too stay green, they use refillable containers instead of the small tubes you can collect, the shower gel was maybe a little watered down??). The bathroom was really large which was nice. Ample closet space in the main area, with a comfortable bed for a good night's rest. We were told our view would "overlook the park", but in reality you just overlook termini as there is no park in that location. We got a nice laugh out of that. We found our stay very comfortable. Staff/service: we found this part to be 5 star and one of the reasons we would return. Every single staff member we encountered seemed genuinely friendly, and happy to be working there. A special shout out to the concierge named 'Nice' who proactively took 20 minutes out of her day to map out locations for us to visit, and recommend restaurants for us. On one night of our stay I requested 2 bottles of water to be brought to our room. Being from the US I expected plastic little bottles resembling Poland spring, however they ended up being large glass bottles (like peregrino). I told the room service agent I was expecting something else so we only wanted 1 larger bottle not wanting to pay for what wasn't necessary. She apologized immediately, allowed us to keep both bottles, and cancelled the entire charge: this was just a very small miscommunication , but I found this to BE TRUE 5 STAR SERVICE, and is a reason I am writing this positive review. Additionally we received turndown service with chocolates on our nightstands which was a nice extra touch. Breakfast: Really great pastries, but nothing special beyond that. Found it useful for coffee in the morning. Not worth the extra $25 per day. Check out: Very efficient and caring, the manager, her assistant and Nice were all present and asked us how our stay was. They gave us a complimentary box of chocolates and some bottled water for our train ride to Florence. Overall: I rate it 4.5 to 5 stars (for an American comparison : A step above the Westin, but a step below the St. Regis or Four Seasons). I would highly recommend this hotel for the location and super friendly/attentive staff. …
No clothing storage in our room, 2 small drawers in a narrow closet by the entry. I spoke to reception and they told me it’s because I only booked a junior suite. There’s a big empty space in the bedroom where a dresser should be, but I guess they prefer we live out of our suitcases. Also the lighting plan is ridiculous. Switches that don’t do anything, switches that turn on lights in the OTHER ROOM. And while we waited 3.5 hours for our room to be ready, we paid 15 euros for two soft drinks in the bar. Not a great start to our time in Roma.
My family and I stayed for 4 days at this hotel and had an amazing experience. The staff was excellent and professional . The rooms are very clean and the food at the restaurant was delicious. Antonio , a server at the hotel restaurant, was especially welcoming. Highly recommended *****
