We enjoyed our few days stay in late January. The room was pleasant and the bed comfortable although we did take another reviewers advice and turn over that beautiful doona which kept falling off the bed because it was so slippery. There were a couple of little things - no bath towels for the first day even though we let...

I stayed in Daphne Veneto between 02/15 to 02/19. After checking the reviews of this B&B, I went there full of hopes. And all my expectations were realized. The Daphne Veneto is located in a very quiet street (Via di San Basilio), close to Piazza Barberini (around 100m from it). The Barberini metro station is very close to the B&B...

Daphne Inn Veneto was a great stay for us. It was about 10 mins to the Spanish Steps and Fountain of Trevi and to many other main Roman sites. The rooms were minimalistic and modern which we wanted. Room 303 however, has the "time capsule" shower which wasn't so great. You have enough room to turn and that's about it....

The Daphne Veneto is a perfect place to stay -- for a couple like us who were first-time visitors. Within walking distance to the Spanish Steps, the Via Veneto and numerous sites, it's a great place to stay just for sheer location. Our room was modern and sleekly designed; we loved the earth-toned tile in the bathrooms (which were not...

The Daphne Inn bills itself as luxurious with personal service but in the end it’s just another place to stay. It is well decorated with a minimalist touch. However there are no TVs anywhere – not even in the breakfast room. Daphne is located in an apartment building. This means dirty looks from residents that are upset that they have...

I should start by by saying that we had a wonderful 6 nights in Rome, and the Daphne Veneto (one double room, and one single room for our party) was a great venue for this trip. But I was slightly surprised to measure the actual experience with that recounted in others' reviews. This place is a B&B, with some extras,...

If your decision process begins with a look for a place in a great location that is also an excellent bargain, then your search should uncover this facility. This place is less than a block from the U.S. Embassy, the Hard Rock Cafe, and the snazzy 5 star Westin Excelsior and a few other 4 star Hotels. Not to mention...

I couldn't have asked for a better way to start my European trip...though now I fear nothing else will compare! The Daphne Inn-Veneto is both charming and in a fantastic location. Less than a ten minute walk to the Trevi fountain and around the corner from the Barberini metro station and a taxi stand, there wasn't an area of I...

Location is great, you can walk to Spanish Steps, Fontana di Trevi etc or take one of the many buses Rooms are small but really nicely furnished, evrything works, but no TVS!(in case you are interested) Breakfast is...

Clean, modern, safe comfortable, slightly spartan rooms, really convenient location, excellent shower. Incredibly helpful staff. Spent an hour at the start with a Rome orientation; helped with tours, restaurants, etc. Extraordinary people. Worth a trip to Rome just to stay here.

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
