The Hotel is located quite far from the city and also not really at the coast - it’s somehow in between everything.
Staff is not unfriendly but indifferent - not as the name „Grand Hotel“ might suggest.
Breakfast again ok but nothing worthwhile remembering.
They offer free parking across the street if you’re lucky enough and the lot isn’t full when you arrive. We arrived around 3:00 pm off-season and we’re lucky to find the last available spot.
Staff is not unfriendly but indifferent - not as the name „Grand Hotel“ might suggest.
Breakfast again ok but nothing worthwhile remembering.

Myself and my partner only stayed here for one night and 2 days as we had to catch a ferry from Ancona and I was honestly left breath taken! The place is definitely worth the money and I’d definitely come back. The beach is so close and the pool is so clean and peaceful. The man in reception (I wish I caught his name) was so helpful and so friendly. 10/10 for customer service everyone is so sweet. The hotel has everything you need even if you check out and stay there for a few hours before catching a flight or a ferry. They have everything you need and the bedrooms were so fancy and clean! Definitely will be coming back ! Breakfast was also included which was so good and tasty they had everything you’d need and they cater for any food preference. Even sitting by the pool the waitress came over and brought us drinks it was absolutely amazing !

We have just returned home yesterday after a week in this hotel in a suite which was love,t and had a big balcony. The breakfast was ok , nothing special in my opinion and rather limited , not sure if this was due to covid though and I would have liked to be able to serve myself. The hotel staff were all professional but friendly. It’s difficult to manage if you don’t speak any Italian in Ancona as not a lot of people speak English but we got by. The food in the hotel restaurant Aldo was lovely but limited choices , I personally would have liked to see more pasta on there , vegetable and salad also. All in all we had a nice week but finding places to eat was difficult as many places in the town close from 3pm until 7.30pm so if you wanted to eat early it was pizza mainly that was available .

It didn't start well as we turned up at 2.20 pm.and were immediately told our room was not ready and check in is at 3 pm. We asked if we could wait and get a drink but as there was a private function in the bar it was unavailable but we could sit in reception and have a drink there. At 2.55 pm our room was ready!!
The room was a good size, old fashioned but in style with the building. Bathroom was spacious and had a good shower. There was an overriding smell of bleach when we walked in so clearly it had been recently cleaned. But on closer inspection the head board on the bed, the light switches and the bedside lamp shades were very dusty and at some stage the room had been redecorated but only part way up the wall as the paint colours were slightly different..
In the evening the bar was available. But when we went into the room with 'bar' written above the door it was set up as a breakfast room and whilst there was a bar it was used only to store glasses. Could we get a drink? Yes ask at reception and a colleague was brought to take our drinks order. Two Gin and Tonics arrived. In tall water glasses and no lemon. A subsequent order for a Coke arrived in the right glass but without ice or lemon or any thought to ask whether ice and lemon might be nice with the drink.
Pool area is good. We found there to be plentiful space but suspect that if the hotel were full it would be over crowded.
Breakfast is average but plentiful. The area around the hotel is pleasant and there are bars and restaurants within a 10 minute stroll.
We were on a trip from the bottom of Puglia to Bologna along the Adriatic coast and this was the only stop out of approximately 12 where we felt unwelcomed and that the staff really didn't care if we were there or not.
It's the little things that make a difference:
*Advertising a bar that isn't there
*Serving a drink in the wrong glass (not a big issue but for a 'grand' hotel!)
*Being abrupt at check in to the extent of proving absolutely no information about the area or hotel, for example where the room was, breakfast times or wifi etc.
*Having facilities that guests aren't allowed to use because they are being used for private functions.
*Waiting for a room to be cleaned that isn't entirely clean.
Not a terrible stay but very definitely not as nice as some much smaller and less 'grand' places.

Food was very expensive and bad.

It is a wonderful hotel, service is first class, staff are extremely helpful. Rooms with a view of the Adriatic Sea are highly recommended. Breakfast is good. It has all addio al facilities expected by a four star hotel and more (swimming pool, private parking).

An elegant hotel in a great position overlooking the Adriatic Sea. The staff were welcoming and friendly making you feel relaxed and comfortable. The room was attractive with pleasant balcony and the bed comfortable. Breakfast was fresh and plentiful.

Convinced by the good ratings on Trip Advisor we booked the Grand Hotel Passetto for one night. We should not have done so. Sure this hotel was very nice decades ago. But it needs a lot of renovation. Ou room was small and noisy. The bathroom was tiny, old, demolished. Finally, the breakfast was mediocre. At least the staff was friendly and helpful. In conclusion, we do not recommend to stay at the ‚Grand‘ Hotel Passetto.

Helpful and friendly staff, great location, the room is clean. Lots of good restaurants nearby. Highly recommend this place, will come back for sure :) despite the COVID situation, everything was very well organised

We spent a lovely time in Ancona and enjoyed our stay at the hotel. IThe hotel staff is very friendly and supportive - the room has been great and better than expected. Very clean and big! Only suggestion would be to improve the bar service at the pool and to take care more on the swiming pool area / cleaness over there - for the rest all good!

No, non è presente, possono fare piatti freddi veloci: di fronte però c'è un ristorante davvero ottimo; non sono sicura che sia ancora aperto però
Buongiorno,
la ringraziamo per aver preso in considerazione il nostro Hotel. La spiaggia del Passetto, unica spiaggia in centro città , è costituita da ghiaia di medie dimensioni riportata arificialmente. Tutto attorno la costa è rocciosa, con scogli naturali (uno su tutti la splendida "Seggiola del Papa) ed artificiali. Oltre a tutto ciò vi è anche una parte cementificata, soprattutto in prossimità delle grotte dei pescatori. Non vi è sabbia fine. E' raggiungibile attraverso una scalinata oppure usufruendo di un ascensore pubblico.
A pochi minuti di auto da noi, potete trovare le spiagge della Riviera del Conero, Portonovo, Sirolo, Numana, diverse tra loro per tipologia di terreno, scoglioso e sassoso. In nessuna di esse è presente la sabbia fine.
Sperando di aver esaudito al meglio la Sua richiesta, la ringraziamo e restiamo a disposizione per qualsiasi altro chiarimento.
