After our recent great experience with NH in Amsterdam, we are big fans of this hotel group and the NH Bologne did not disappoint. Located across from the city railway station, the NH is a leisurely stroll through Bologna’s famous corridors to city centre. For day trips to Ravenna and Urbino etc the location could not be better. The breakfast was particularly outstanding with many regional specialities including copious amounts of mortadella (of course!) and pecorino. Great stay - we would go again.
Very well located if you’re travelling by rail, just a couple of minutes walk from the train station. Very friendly and professional staff on the front desk. Our room was clean, well appointed and good value. It’s a fair old stroll from the historic centre of town, about 15-20 minutes away.
Everything was fine: the position, the friendliness of the staff, the modern rooms, the cleanliness, the bathroom except of the free wifi that is really terrible! IF it connects it is so slow that is useless unless you PAY!!!!!! for a quicker one!!!! For NH brand I find this unacceptable! I did not take any breakfast so I don't have any opinion to share! Overall I was satisfied and I would choose it again !
Absolutely recommend this hotel! Location, room, food - all very good. The reception staff are friendly and very helpful.👍 Bologna is beautiful even in the cold season, an old and cozy city. It was nice to return after long walks to a warm and friendly hotel and have a cup of coffee with homemade delicious cake. We'll be back for sure!
Never in my life I paid for an expensive hotel with a low quality attendance and also who change the rate after a reservation, it was awfull, the room was simple as a 2 stars hotel, check in horrible with any support and any option to help me
We stayed at this hotel Just one night; It was very nice with an excellent breakfast and very welcoming staff at the reception. Good position to visit the downtown of Bologna. The room was large and comfortable with a nice view. We’ll come back for sure!!
I often stay at the NH de la Gare where the staff is outstanding: very professional and friendly, the hotel is ideally situated (close to the station and city center ; 20 min taxi drive to the airport) and at a walking distance of many restaurants, shops, museums. I strongly recommend
Handy if you're travelling to/from the station as it's only a couple of minutes' walk. I booked this as a solo traveller for an overnight stay before travelling by train to Ravenna to join a cruise. It's website mentions a restaurant, as did the website I booked it on - also said it had room service. The restaurant, in fact, is not open in the evening, and as a solo traveller didn't want to wander around trying to find somewhere to eat. They only do bar snacks and I had to make to with a very lack-lustre toastie, not what I expected on my first night in Italy. My room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast was OK, but I would not have chosen this hotel if I had known there was no restaurant.
It’s a great location for a short stay in Bologna, as it’s a 3 minute walk from the train station. Typical of NH hotels, the room was clean and comfortable, with a nice large bed and well equipped bathroom. The room had strong A/C, good WiFi and it was very quiet. The breakfast buffet has many choices, including healthy options like fruit, a cleansing smoothie, and good selection of cereals.
The family suite (junior suite) is on the top floor. Unfortunately, it has a stationery bicycle where a sofa should be. There is NO area to sit in the sitting room. I can only guess it was because of covid to put bike in room; but now a couch or seating area should be in that room. The terrace attached to the room has a table and 4 chairs and has a really beautiful view. The area surrounding the hotel felt safe and easy to access to train as well as straight access to the city center. City center is 15 minute walk down a street with nice shops, easy and flat. The breakfast was varied and fresh. I would stay at this hotel again, but probably not in the suite without a sofa.
