Only stayed one night but it was very authentic in a residence just a short walk from the main attractions and food streets. Eclectic decor and the B&B feel of being in someone else's home may not suit some but we found it charming.

This place well deserves its fantastic rating. We went as part of our honeymoon tour and couldn't fault it. The owner was so friendly and very helpful with local knowledge, a cracking sense of humour and the ability to talk a LOT of languages fluently. Breakfast was delicious and eaten with the other guests at the dining table. A lovely...

We were booked in here for only one night, prior to our flight home, after being in Florence. We asked Agostino if we could leave our cases in the morning when we arrived, prior to check in, as we wished to explore Bologna. He said that we were very welcome and he would make us a coffee when we arrived....

Agostino runs a great B&B here in Bologna. He is very welcoming and full of recommendations for places to go, things to see and restaurants. The room was large with a good ensuite, only 6 rooms in total. But that adds to the charm! The accommodation is in a 200 year old apartment building - but don't worry there is...

Agostino really goes the extra mile to look after you in his small and distinctive b&b close to the centre of Bologna. Great eye for detail - not just the decor, but also things like fruit and water in your room and the varied and well presented breakfast. A fine ending to a three week walking holiday!

Agostino came to our rescue in Bologna. We hadn't planned to stay here initially, but our other arrangements fell through. I called Antica Residenza to find out if they could accommodate my mom, who requires a little extra care, and Agostino was immediately warm and welcoming. He told me to come right over, and he would take good care of...
