Excellent stay in the Exagon-suite , the room was very spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. The location was perfect for the centre and the Neptune fountain. I would highly recommend
This is the best place to stay in Bologna. A true palazzo that is immaculate and and the rooms are huge with frescoed ceilings and top furnishings. The people running it are kind and helpful. Perfectly located too. A must visit!
We booked Gregorini Bingham based on its location and were not disappointed. As previous reviews have said it is a converted palazzo with the rooms on the top floor. The rooms are large and comfortable, however being on top floor means lots of stairs to climb. It says 2 flights, but given the heights of the ceilings, it is the equivalent of 4 flights. The is no lift. Reception staff make themselves available but are not there all day. We had an issue with our room safe not working and in spite of reporting it twice, it was not fixed over the 3 nights we stayed. The Lampadina café next door is fabulous and provide discount to Gregorini Bingham residents - highly recommend for choice of food and great service. We went there for breakfast.
We had 4 nights in this unexpected hotel close to the main areas of Bologna. The hotel comprises the top floor of a “Palazzo”, with a small number of rooms along a smart corridor. The room was large with a high decorated ceiling that was a delight. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom warm. The WiFi was unpredictable, as Is the 4G in the city, so don’t expect to be able to Skype conference calls. There is piped music in the corridor outside the room, this was a bit loud when trying to sleep in! However this is a great location. There’s no restaurant or other facilities, just rooms and a reception on the ground floor that is only manned for certain hours of the day. However the staff are helpful. There’s a trendy cafe next door that is good for breakfasts (Lampadina) and coffees. This is a hotel with character. We would stay there again.…
We stayed here in early October for one night in a Superior King Suite. This was their smallest room (from what we were told) but was a generous size, finished to a very high standard with plenty of room for clothes, cases and a table and chairs to use for self catering. The amazing part of the room was the hidden mini kitchen which looked like a large wardrobe but revealed a complete mini kitchen with fridge, coffee machine, kettle, sink, microwave etc. Great when you don't want to be looking at a kitchen! There were supplies of coffee pods, sugar and tea. There was no bottled water but I'm presuming the water from the kitchen was drinkable although as I had some water with me I didnt ask. The bed was large with good linen and was very comfortable. The bathroom was very luxuriously finished and a good size with a large walk in shower, large fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Despite being only about 8 minutes walk from Piazza Maggiore we were able to sleep with our windows open and absolutely no noise waking us - and I'm a very light sleeper. There was no breakfast included but we were given a discount voucher to use at the excellent cafe just at the end of the street which served a wide variety of breakfasts and was very good value. The only disadvantage to this accommodation is the fact it is an older building and therefore, understandably, has no lift. This was OK for us but if you are not able to climb a couple of sets of stairs it wouldn't be the right place for you. …
The hotel is in an old building with high ceilings and large rooms. As the hotel was started in March it is newly renovated. Luxurious room with a beautiful bathroom. Friendly and helpful staff. Modern outlook yet luxurious vintage feel. Well situated wrt restaurants. Breakfast at a coffee shop around the corner. Overall a good experience.
I would definitely recommend these apartments as they are so central to Bologna city centre. You can walk into the city in under 10 minutes. The room was spotless. It was ideal for a a long break. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
Stayed here for our three night stay in Bologna. Rooms large and airy, spotlessly clean with excellent staff. The rooms are in walking distance to everything. There is a great little cafe next door for breakfast and lots of restaurants within walking distance. Overall, a great stay, and I would highly recommend them. The rooms are in a beautiful old building on the second floor and there is no lift for those with mobility issues.
Only a few select regal rooms! I felt very special at the suites. Luigi was very welcoming and he took our suitcases up since there is no elevator. The beauty and amenities of the room are non-compare. Tried to book for our return trip to Bologna but, Gregorian Bingham was booked. Loved it! Great coffee place two doors down and a fabulous pizza restaurant.
