Perfect location just steps from the historic center of Bologna. The room (#9) was largish and had a good sized bathroom. Loved having the views from he window, but if you are sensitive to sound when sleeping, bring some earplugs as this room is on the busy street. The breakfast was plentiful and the staff very helpful. We'll recommend this to friends for sure!

The location of this hotel is fab, very central and close to the tower. Our room wasn’t ready when we arrived but they let us drop off our luggage and they messaged us when it was ready with our bags in the room waiting. It’s a small hotel with only a few members of staff who are all very friendly. Room had everything we needed and very spacious. The breakfast was a little limited and your best to get there early for the full selection. There is a fab gelato shop right beneath the hotel and an amazing croissant shop just around the corner. Would recommend.

My wife and spent six nights at 051 in October. 051 has some real positives going for it: - Great location near the two towers and public transportation. - Very nice reception staff who tried to be as helpful as possible. - Suites in the rear of the building (which ours was) are very quiet. - Climate control for the room was excellent. However, there are also a number of negatives: This B &B consists of two apartments in a large building. One, on the first floor, contains the reception/breakfast area and several rooms. The other, on the third floor, has additional rooms/suites. Every area is locked so keys are needed to open the outside door, the door to the reception area, the door to the upstairs apartment, and the door to each individual room/suite. This became annoying, especially since some of the locks were difficult to operate. Building/room maintenance was not good: The suite was not thoroughly cleaned. Although it was vacuumed every day, there were areas that were still dusty. Spots on the walls were scratched and/or dirty. The shower enclosure had a great deal of mold, which was never cleaned even after we advised the staff. Several ceiling light bulbs were burned out when we arrived. They were replaced when we reported the problem. No toiletries were provided except shampoo and some soaps that were not much bigger than two-Euro coins. We wound up buying our own tissues and a bar of soap at a nearby grocery store. The sink drain could not be closed (probably since the sink had no overflow hole), so rinsing items in the sink was very difficult. …

We enjoyed a fantastic two nights. The suites are very centrally located and are comfortable and clean. The breakfasts were good and there are complimentary drinks and snacks always available. What particularly made our stay was the friendliness and helpfulness of all of the staff who had a passion for their city that they were only too happy to share.

This is an absolutely perfect hotel - from the relaxing reception area to the comfortable rooms to the central position to the incredibly helpful and charming staff ( that is especially you Camilla!) We would absolutely recommend it to anyone visiting Bologna - and we would absolutely recommend everyone to visit Bologna!

Let’s start with all the wonderful people who work there because they truly are the icing on the cake. Every single one of the ladies, and one gentleman, are very friendly and we have never had people try so hard to be helpful in planning restaurants, sightseeing, shopping or anything else. It’s more like they are family than staff. I can think of many other places that should hire them to train their staff. Next is the location smack bang in the center of the historical part of Bologna. Our car sat in the parking garage for the entire four days we were there. Everything is a short walk. We stayed in the Mandarin Suite which was a good size with a comfy bed, good A/C and a good size stand alone shower. The breakfast room is very beautifully and imaginatively decorated and the selection is much, much more than anyone can eat. We would definitely stay there again.…

It was the 2. time at 051 Suites and like the first time we got a very warm welcome by the staff. The room was nice, cozy and very clean. The breakfast was the sweet Italian style nicely arranged and served by the very friendly staff. If you need any help regarding your stay the staff will do everything they can to help you. When in Bologna another time we certainly will stay at 051 Suites.

Stayed 4 nights in suite - it was fantastic. Camilla met us and spent time giving us all the info on place that are "must see". She also made recommendations and reservations in restaurants all of which were top class - we were never once disappointed. Camilla and Baddy are fantastic hosts and we would highly recommend 051 Suites. The location of 051 Suites make it easy to reach everything and within walking distance.

We stayed for four nights (06/03 - 10/03). The B&B is in a great location - we were in walking distance to all the sites we were interested in visiting; there is also a taxi stand quite nearby, as well as bus service. Our suite was clean, cozy, and very comfortable. Despite being on a busy street, it was very quiet at night - we were not at all disturbed by traffic noise, etc. (and this was with a window open). The staff were amazing and did all they could to make our stay at the B&B as well as our time in Bologna very enjoyable - at our request, they happily sent us a list of restaurants serving authentic local cuisine before we arrived (we did dine at several of their recommendations, and we enjoyed them very much); they also gave us many tips and suggestions for things to see and do while in town. The breakfast service was also very good - plenty of breads, sweets, meat and cheese, juice, coffee any way you like it, and tea - typical European-style breakfast (no American bacon-and-eggs type offerings - we absolutely didn't mind that as that wasn't the experience we wanted). We would definitely choose to stay here again, and would recommend it to others as well.…
