A beautiful hotel with a wonderful location. Most major sights are within walking distance. Massimo and Maria at the front desk were outstanding---very welcoming, informative and professional. The bellman, Jeffrey, was also very, very good and couldn't do enough to make you feel welcome and take care of all your needs. We had a deluxe room for 5 nights which was lovely. A/C worked well, room was spotless, bed extremely comfortable, great bathroom and very quiet. While not inexpensive, we felt we absolutely got what we paid for and would not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone visiting Bologna. Hope to return someday.
This hotel is located very close to the city centre but in a lovely quiet street. The staff are welcoming and friendly. The beds are wonderfully comfortable and clean and our room was lovely. There is a great cocktail bar downstairs which has a great atmosphere and is not expensive. A lovely stay thank you!
This beautiful hotel is situated in a perfect location to explore Bologna old town. Just a couple of minutes stroll takes you to medieval squares, buildings and traditional restaurants. The staff were excellent and the rooms very well equipped and quiet. Breakfast is very good and the coffee excellent.
Nice hotel in the center of Bologna. Close to Piazza Maggiore and with walking distance to most sights in the city. The hotel is functioning well, it is clean - old fashion style and the service is good. The staff is helpful and positive. Only issue to note: The breakfast serving is rather poor. Selection small and quality not in top. The bread selection is far below any standard. And you have to pay extra if you want an omelet or a soft boiled egg or fresh pressed juice. We recommend to take breakfast outside in a small cafe nearby. Further the internet connection is troublesome, you get off again and again.
We had a great experience at this hotel. The front desk staff were especially helpful with restaurant recommendations, directions, taxi, etc. The location of the hotel means that most sites to see in Bologna are in walking distance. The hotel staff were very professional and helpful, in all aspects of our stay. Great experience all the way around!
My friends and I stayed at this lovely boutique hotel in the center of Bologna for one night. When we arrived, we were warmly greeted by the front desk staff. We arrived early and our rooms were not ready, but we were able to check our bags and be off to experience Bologna. The hotel truly is minutes away from some of the city’s must see historical sites, which made getting around on foot so easy. Unfortunately for us, it was a very rainy and windy day in Bologna. So when we had enough of the rain, we ventured back to our hotel. Because of the rain, we decided to eat in at the hotel’s restaurant for dinner. We were all so glad we did! The food and service were excellent. All of the food was delicious, but the lasagna particularly, which I and one of my friend’s had, was divine! We enjoyed our stay from start to finish. I highly recommend a stay at this hotel.…
If it is for you, this hotel is a great choice. Probably one of the best in Bologna. If not, then like us you will probably think the price you are going to pay is not worth it. In spite of the location and the friendly staff (most of it). For instance, the maintenance of the bathroom of the room we stay (paying more than 500€ per night but with no relation with the luxuty of the ones shown in the hotel website’s pictures) needed to be improved. And the breakfast room, when the hotel full, must be expanded. We were lucky, but we saw every day people waiting to get a seat. The breakfast itself is poor for a four star hotel. And the quality of the food menu should be improved. In particular the beacon-turkey sandwich we tasted was awful: made with leftovers from breakfast with tons of mayonaisse in spite of having ask “without mayonaisse”. But above all, for us, the main flaw of the hotel is that to get to many rooms (at least on the second floor) you have to go up and down stairs. And no one is going to help you carry your luggage. In our case, with an excuse as cheap as that the elevator only allowed two people.…
Stayed in October. Good location right in the center in a nice neighbourhood. Very nice rooms and lobby. Breakfast good (I've seen other reviewers complain about slow service and whilst I didn't order any of the hot dishes so don't know how long they took, the coffee always came pretty promptly). Hotel's restaurant very good (though perhaps a bit expensive compared to what you can find of equivalent quality nearby). Service great.
My wife, her friend and I stayed last night and had a wonderful experience. The staff, rooms, bar and restaurant were all excellent. We decided to have cocktails and dinner in the hotel because the weather was so bad and it was a great decision.
The best things about this hotel are the location (very central) and how clean the bathroom was. The breakfast service was poor. Just one member of staff serving so we had to wait ages and most things were cleared away 15 mins before the end of service. We asked the hotel receptionist to make a restaurant reservation which somehow slipped through the net. We never did find out why. The hotel is overpriced and overrated and I would save your money and stay somewhere else.
