Al cappello is a lovely hotel, right in the centre of bologna. We booked as a party of 7 + wheelchair, they were so accommodating, all our rooms close together so it was perfect. Breakfast was not included but for 10 euros pp it was very good. This hotel is in the perfect location, so close to all shop, restaurants and...

This hotel was recommended to us by someone who lives in Bologna and we were delighted to find a really good deal on Expedia. Efficient responses to initial email enquiries confirmed straightaway how good the customer service was. We were delighted to find that we had been booked into one of the apartments, just five minutes walk from the main...

You can't get more central than this, slightly quirky, boutique hotel. An unprepossessing reception, with small sitting area adjacent, gives no inkling of the stylist rooms on offer, all, we gather, different. Despite the perfect location (straight out to the main Piazza) all very quiet. High standards of linen, etc, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. The staff were unfailingly helpful,...

A lovely, bijou hotel right in the heart of the city but in a quiet cobbled street. Quirky decoration in rooms, but comfy beds and every amenity including tea-and-coffee making facilities, gowns and slippers. Extremely friendly, helpful staff and good breakfast spread at very reasonable price. Good, non-touristy restaurant for lunch and dinner. I would highly recommend this hotel.

I stayed at Al Cappello Rosso with a group of friends, and the personnel could not have been more helpful. They helped me organize a food tour and also transportation for my friends to get to Milan for an early flight. Highly recommended.

A nice hotel in the center of Bologna, just 5 minutes from piazza del nettuno. Breakfast served in a buffet in hotel's cafe area. The room was clean and quite but small like everywhere in Bologna. Kind staff.

Great location, quirky rooms with individual decor. Fabulous staff who found us excellent restaurants to try and were otherwise also very knowledgeable about sights and activities. We especially appreciated the little daily news leaflet and the bookmarks at reception, nice touch! Parking is offsite, not far away but you need to book in advance if you are arriving by car...

This hotel is located in the middle of the city yet on a small side street so it doesn't suffer from noise. It can be easily accessed by taking the airport bus (6 Euros) to Via dei Mille from which it is a 10 minute walk (small suitcases are OK but wouldn't recommend big ones due to the pavements!). Pretty...

Very historical hotel. Highly recommended hotel when visiting Bologna. Right in the middle of everything, yet its on a quiet street off the Piazza Maggiore. The room is small, but well equipped. Also.. beautifully decorated with cute cartoons. You can hear some street noise when cars pass very occasionally, but the windows are double glazed. Recommend taking the taxi from...

This is the second time we've stayed here, each time in one of the hotel apartments, adjacent to the main hotel. Definitely recommend this hotel for all type of visitors. DO NOT recommend the hotel's restaurant for evening meals. Overpriced, and poor cuisine. Also, the rustic nature includes crumbs under the glass table-tops suggesting a lack of cleanliness. DEFINITELY recommend...
