Nice and comfortable stay. Would recommend and would stay again. Pros: great location - 2 mins walk from the main square, 10 mins from the Main Street of bars, 20 mins walk from train station. Nice and comfortable mattress, good view from room, three bathrooms - two of which are really big, seating area outside rooms, key locked room, 2 girls paired with 2 girls which was good for safety. Cons: no lockers to keep valuable safes, not good at all. Flat pillows were uncomfortable, moving ladder for the upper bunk was scary in the morning. Windows did not close which meant on a Saturday night we were kept up from all the screaming and shouting of outsiders.

Don’t even think about booking a room with these scammers! They don’t let you in if you come after 21:00 and they will not give your money back! Many reviews mention BED BUGS and the customer service is ZERO! Very rude people! They are a shame for the Italian tourism industry and I hope nobody stays there! An ABSOLUTE NO!

Very hostile stuff that just has an answer of "no" or "I don't know" to every question. Chinese guy working in reception knew nothing about the city, about locations of laundry places, anything.. Leaving a backpack for few hours in the hostel after checkout was also not possible, because they want to send you to another location where you have to pay for baggage storage. This is first hostel I have been to, where it isn't possible to leave bags for few hours after checkout. Cleanliness of rooms is a whole story too - beds are dirty, with bedbugs in them, no hygiene in bathrooms, no common space. Place feels like a prison room with stuff as prison guards, not a hostel.

Perfect location, lovely stuff, clean rooms and toilets. I was in this hostel twice already, I would like maybe to have a breakfast offer but anyway, close to the hostel are many options. Thank you 🙏

I booked the "Deluxe Twin" room for two nights. Upon arrival I found myself in a dirty single room. Upon querying this I was told there was a mattress under the bed when it was needed as a double room! The breakfast is insipid coffee and bread warmed in a sandwich maker (toast?) The WiFi worked most of the time, but was not always reliable. The staff were totally devoid of personality, only at check out did I encounter somebody who seemed interested to be Woking there. The bathrooms were just about adequate. Unfortunately there is little competition in Bologna. The only upside to this place is the location, being in the heart of the city just a short stroll to the Piazza Major.

We booked a double room for 2 nights which consisted of 2 small single beds with 20cm between them. There is also a large walk in cupboard with no hooks, hangars etc, just a broken door. The room was so small we could not move around each other & there was a damage to the floor with some mangy looking material covering it. Sheets were clean but the floor was dirty. The air conditioning worked. As previously stated, the dorm rooms looked better. The bathrooms were not cleaned regularly, hair on floor & sinks & showers were grubby. The breakfast is a joke - one cup if tea (water boiled on the stove due to no jug) half toasted bread toasted on a sandwich maker due to no toaster. No help yourself with everything controlled by the staff. The place had zero atmosphere & I feel sorry for the staff (who are friendly) who have to work there. Whoever owns the place is a miser who wont allow paying customers to use the fridge or make a cup of coffee/tea. I would recommend you pay more & stay somewhere nicer with more generous provisions.

This "Boutique hotel" is an overpriced hostel with overrated facilities and I'm gonna explain why. First of all, it is not clean. Blankets were stained with tomatoes(?), sheets were torn and full of holes. Bathrooms were very old, moderately clean and oh the Jacuzzi? You can see it in the picture below. You can't? Well that's probably because it's a shower. We were informed upon arrival that breakfast is from 8.00 to 10.00. We had a plane to catch, so at 8.00 we expected to get a quick breakfast and leave for the airport. So in the morning, there was no breakfast at 8.00, they informed us that it starts at 08.15 and even then, it was not ready(!). In general, the room felt like a mental hospital as we were in a tiny room with two single beds smudged together. The WiFi worked whenever it felt like it (5mins on, 5mins off) and there was no aircoditioning. And don't get me started with the noise cancelling walls. During the night, I could actually synch my breathing with the snoring of the person sleeping in the next room. Plus the vending machine had no food and drinks inside. Only a razor. I do not recommend this place. Pay 10 euros extra to a place that is actually worth it.

Do not stay here. It might be in a central location but that is it. The air conditioning in the room was broken, the bathroom was unclean (mould on ceiling) and there is zero atmosphere. The staff do very little besides take your money. It costs to leave your luggage ($5 after 2pm) and when I collected it earlier at 12.30, I was told I could no longer sit in the waiting area for an hour as it was reserved for guests! I've stayed in hostels all over the world and I've never heard this before.

Dear Customer, we are sorry that you have not been satisfied with our hospitality. We will certainly consider its useful criticism in order to improve our quality standards. The bathrooms, being constantly used by different guests, can be affected by the way in which they leave them. We do not have a common area that you can use after check-out, so for that you were told that you could not stay longer.

It's one of the cheapest hostel in Bologna, with a very good location, 15 min walking from the train station and 2 min walking from the main square. The shared room is clean and comfortable, with air cond. The staff speaks very good English. Bathrooms are clean, spacious and comfortable. The main area is not a chill out place, it's mainly for breakfast (not included if you're in the dorm). The things I less liked is the fact that you have to pay for small extras, for ex., if you check in after 7pm (10€) or if you want to leave your luggage after 2pm (5€), also if you want to print something (0.5€/page). I recommend it anyway!

On the previous day of my arrival, I received a message from hostel through WhatsApp, which said "Pls inform us check-in time. If you can't check in between 12:00 and 19:00, it costs extra 10 euro" Have you heard of this kind of horrible service ? Unbelievable. This is my first time to have been warned like this by property owners. (I should have kept the message on my phone, accidentally I deleted it) Luckily I had no issue to check in between 12:00 and 19:00 but arrived a bit early like 11:20. I wanted to leave my luggage before check-in so that I could have looked for a proper place to have lunch. However, the hostel wouldn't open the door. They refused to accept my luggage before my check-in. "Our space is very small, no space to keep your luggage" this is what a girl said through intercom. Brilliant service, isn't it ? They literally wouldn't open the door on the ground level. (Door of the building) I had to carry a heavy suitcase and other bags with me because of the girl. As Bologna was my final destination of 2-week-long vacation, I had so much stuff. Unfortunately I ate my lunch at one of the Italian bars nearby because I really didn't want to walk around with those luggage with me. What was worse, I had walked from Bologna station to the hostel, which isn't easy. Lots of steps and rough stone paving. I was already exhausted. Upon my check-in, I really looked forward to seeing how tiny the hostel would be. Much to my surprise, there is plenty of space for anyone to leave luggage. What is wrong with the girl ?! Is this something the real owner of this hostel instructs to do ? When I checked in, there were 2 girls working, they both look Filipino-Italians. They are not friendly at all. Another silly behaviour of the two girls was they locked 2 of the public bathrooms. There are 3 of them in total but one of the girls locked 2 of them when I was still preparing to hang out after check-in. I asked why ? She responded "because I just finished cleaning" . She totally made me speechless. She didn't want anyone to use the bathroom because cleaning was just done. I booked a private room with shared bathroom. Room is very basic or less than that. It has only bed. Dorm looks better. Breakfast is very disappointing. You have a choice, either toast or croissant. Croissant doesn't look like croissant.. You can't use fridge because kitchen area is locked. I wondered if I could leave luggage after check-out. Next day, there was a new girl (Caucasian), she was very friendly. When I ask her about luggage after check-out, she gave me just big yes. I should have asked her "luggage before check-in" to double confirm if what I experienced on previous day was this hostel's rule. The same staff won't keep working for the same hostel for years and years. I shouldn't judge hostel based on the staff but hospitality staff provides really matters, too. If the owner reads this review, he should discipline his staff.
