This hotel is centrally located which is only a few minutes away from the city centre. Even though it is right near the market you won’t hear a sound. Very very very clean! Staff friendly and helpful. The only thing, if you like a big breakfast this is not the hotel for you. Also if you want a coffee you need to wait for breakfast as no coffee amenities are available in the room. We really liked the hotel for it’s location, hospitality and cleanliness.
Hotel nicely located between the train station and the city center. Rather large room with all the facilities. Very clean. Calm place, we didn't hear a sound from outside. The food at the breafast was very diverse and always plentyful. Excellent coffee, of course. Highly recommended.
We enjoyed our time at Zanhotel Regina. It is very centrally located between the train station and the tourist areas and even though a market was going on while we were there, it was very quiet in the room. The room was comfortable and provided everything we needed for a two night stay. I would definitely stay there again.
The hotel is in a great location , midway between the train station and the historic centre. Rooms were on the small side but very clean, decent facilities, v good beds, effective aircon. Breakfast was good quality with lots of choices. Staff were always friendly and helpful. Sleep was sometimes a challenge due to a lot of noise from the street - late night students, a McDonalds below and the large market in the adjacent square setting up early.
We stayed for 2 night, clean & comfortable room. Great choice of breakfast. Really central & ideal for a trip to Bologna. Staff were really friendly. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommended
Lovely, comfortable, modern room. Great Wi-Fi, good choice of items at breakfast. Staff were very accommodating at keeping our bags as were were too early to check in. Well situated for the centre and the train station. Very pleasant stay.
Zanhotel Reginal honoured our out-of-date voucher, issued because we couldn’t take a holiday due to COVID, even though they were not obliged to. We were upgraded from a standard room to an apartment which was another gesture of goodwill and made our visit to this fantastic city even more enjoyable. Late for breakfast the first morning, one of the waitstaff piled a plate full of pastries and genuinely welcomed us to take a seat. Fantastic service. We will return and we will recommend this hotel to others.
The hotel is close to the train station and the city center. They offer a rich and tasty breakfast with enough products to choose from. The room was small, had no special view (the window faced an inner courtyard) but it had everything I needed. It was clean, the towels were changed every day. Great bed and pillows. The staff at the reception is friendly, they speak English. You can pay with cash or credit card. I would definitely stay there again on a next visit. 🙂
I stayed here as a solo traveler for two nights in April 2022 and the hotel stay was average and could have been better Good things - Rooms were compact but very well appointed, fairly modern, amazing bathroom, TV, little fridge on the wall with waters in it, comfy bed - Good wifi, no issues - Location is pretty good as you are a 5-10 minute walk from the Central Train Station and another 5-10 minute walk to the city center. Hotel itself is surrounded by shops, restaurants, cafes, shops, and a plaza where there is a flea market. Bad things: - Knowing it could be noisy, I specifically requested a room on a high floor when I booked directly through the hotel --- not a third party like Booking.com or Expedia. When I checked in, they put me in a room on the 1st floor facing the main road, which is very busy and noisy. I then had to go back downstairs and ask if there were other rooms. They moved me to a room on 3rd Floor facing the plaza that was quieter. Why did they not put me in that room in the first place? - All of the male staff members I encountered were not friendly - almost cold. There was no language barrier since we all spoke English. - COVID protocols: multiple staff members not wearing masks or wearing them beneath their noses despite there being an indoor mask mandate across Italy. Hotel also did not ask to see Green Pass to sit and eat inside for breakfast. - Prepared foods at breakfast (eggs, bacon, pancakes) were overcooked, burnt, and practically stale.…
A very good 3-star hotel, perfect for a short stay in Bologna. Seemed to be quite popular with business travelers, probably as it's very suited to their practical needs. Our room was a small-ish but reasonable size, as was the bathroom. Very clean and recently updated. Would have been nice to have a small lamp by the desk instead of just bright overhead lights. Breakfast was ok, but nothing really special. Free wifi worked great and staff were friendly. The location was perfect - short walk from the train station and 5-10 min walk to the historic center or university area. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby too. However, it is on a very busy main road, which meant that there was a lot of street noise from very early until late. The windows offer some protection, but bring earplugs if you are sensitive to noise. All in all, a nice mid-range hotel in a convenient location and I'd stay again.…
