Hotel Arcoveggio was such a lovely place for my friend and me to stay. They kindly arranged to stay up for us to check in as our flight was delayed, the room was clean and spacious, and the staff (particularly Lorenza) were so lovely and helpful with ideas and recommendations. It is slightly far out of the centre however that gave us a reason to explore more the city. Would definitely recommend !!
Our experience with the staff and the cleanliness of this hotel was awful. We returned to the hotel and noticed an insect crawling on the headboard that looked exactly like your worst nightmare when staying in a hotel. We decided to check the bed and behind the bed and noticed how dirty it was (see picture for reference). There were small dead and live insects behind the bed. We tried calling the reception (the only number listed on Booking.com) however they were already closed. We obviously decided to pack up our belongings and moved to a different hotel as we didn't see any other option at that time. We sent a message to the property and received a response the next day. The receptionist was initially very apologetic for the cleanliness of the room, however the tone quickly changed with the manager. She was condescending and made us feel ridiculous for leaving the hotel when that was the condition of the room and with the presence of what we suspected the insect to be. She placed the blame on us and stated, "I find it strange that you decided to leave the hotel instead of calling the number on the keychain." We were never notified at check-in that there were additional phone numbers that we can call, and a keychain is not a typical place to look for a phone number. The number wasn't listed in the room anywhere. She refused to offer a full or even partial refund despite the fact that we didn't even stay at the hotel because of the circumstance. I don't recommend anyone to stay at this hotel. Your money can be better spent supporting another local hotel with better and more respectful staff.…
We stayed for a night to split up the trip down to the Tuscany. We had two rooms which were adequate and clean, reception was friendly and helpful and spoke English. We also had a parking spot, which was useful. The hotel is about a 20 min walk away from the train station and center, the area is quiet and easy to get in and out of by car.
About 10-15 min walk to bus and train station. Lovely staff on reception very helpful. Few cafe/bars close by Hot drinks available to buy in reception. Nice seating area in front garden. We only stayed one night but would go back again. Nice clean rooms. We didnt use the bus but this is just a few metres away from the hotel and takes you into town
This hotel was an ideal spot to stay in for visiting Bologna, situated a short walk from a bus stop going directly into the centre. The room was comfortable, and the air conditioning was very welcome. Definitely a place to stay when you're wanting to be out and about in town.
Stayed at this hotel for one night, as a stop off in Bologna. •Lovely Friendly staff • Clean • Comfortable bed • 20 min walk from the train station It was our first time in Bologna and found the area a little run down, the hotel was lovely but the area definitely let it down. Once we got into the main centre it was much better!
Stayed for 3 nights at €144 for double room very clean, had a room to the front of hotel with a balcony over looking the street residential area, staff could not be more helpful and very pleasant. A good 20mins walk to the centre we were very luck with the weather so didn't feel like the 1.2km that it is would definitely stay here again if we returned to Bologna
Small and cozy hotel.. Hotel on a quiet street, close to the street. The hotel is within walking distance to the center of city. Breakfast is adequate. The room was spacious and comfortable. Internet connection is good. I stayed in a room on the entrance floor. The noise from the reception and other floors was uncomfortable. Ask for a room not looking at the street.
This was a perfectly pleasant hotel about twenty minutes bus ride from the centre of Bologna. The room was clean and comfortable and the breakfast adequate and the staff cheerful, helpful and spoke English. However, it was amazingly expensive for a two star hotel. Perhaps this is just a feature of Bologna.
Stayed here for a business trip. Great staff and nice hotel. Close to city and Bologna fair. Clean and quiet, continental breakfast is well presented and very tasty! No lifts for older people who can't lift suitcases up three flights.
