My husband and I spent two nights in Bologna over New Year's. It was a blast. What a charming city! The Hotel Cavour was very reasonably priced and smack in the center of the city. Very convenient. Our room was incredibly spacious and the bathroom was great!! Huge shower. The front desk staff were all very sweet and they had our room available as soon as we arrived. We took at taxi from the train station when we arrived just because we were getting our bearings, but on our way out of town, we walked to the train station. It's not far and from the hotel it's all downhill. Breakfast is included in your stay and it's a great way to start the day. The staff managing the breakfast were awesome. There was a lovely spread and if you ask they will make you gorgeous cappuccinos!!! …
In the center of historical downtown of Bologna (Italy), Hotel Cavour has a fantastic location (200 meters from Piazza Maggiore). Rooms are wonderful, modern style and at the same time cozy. The person at the reception is welcoming. Nice and gentle the breakfast service. Very high score for price/quality.
Wonderfully located recently renovated Hotel in the heart of Bologna. Location and cleanliness of the room are the strengths of this nice Hotel. The deluxe was very nice and had also a very nice view from the top floor. Just a 3* stars hotel, which can compete easily with any 4* I have ever been. Therefore, the quality/price ratio is very good, from my point of view. There are details, on which I would put more attention such as on the services; e. g.: the hotel could promote aperitives in the evening in the very nice internal area within the building and for doing that in the wintertime, heaters will be needed; the mini bar should provide more than just water. I would also offer a room service. Breakfast is good and one can have eggs and bacon, cold cuts and cheese, any kind of cake, etc. The breakfast room is very nice and has an opening roof, which make it very interesting for another visit during the warm season. Overall it scores 4.33 out of 5.00. So, it's on is way to excellency.…
We arrived early from a cruise ship and was made welcome. Although our room wasn't ready we were told we could store our luggage in a secure room and could either wait in their outdoor courtyard seating area or return later. On our return the room was ready and it was of a large size. We had the sleep 3 room as that was the only available room when we booked and it had a large main bedroom with a king bed also another room with a double bed. This was linked via a wide corridor that contained a desk plus 2 hanging spaces and a fridge below one and a safe in the other. Beds were comfortable and pillows great. Bathroom was large, clean. modern with amenities and hairdryer. The decor of the rooms and whole hotel was very modern and clean. Staff friendly and helpful. Good continental breakfast each morning. very satisfying. Hotel in GREAT location and we are booking again. …
We had a really good stay at the Hotel Cavour. The location is in the center of town and very convenient to the train station if you are planning to sightsee in Modena, Parma or San Marino. The service was very good as the front desk staff were very welcoming and helpful. The included breakfast was fairly standard but good.
We had a lovely stay in The Hotel Cavour, the city is bustling but the hotel gives an oasis of calm in the very centre of the city. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The rooms were spacious and spotlessly clean. Breakfast had an excellent variety of foods. The location was excellent, on a quiet street but a minutes walk from the very centre of Bologna, everything was in easy reach, we had a couple of trips out on the train and the station is only a 15 min walk from hotel. We arrived at the hotel in the middle of a 2 week holiday and were feeling tired, we decided to take a day off and just relaxed in the central garden, had drinks served and enjoyed the sun. Would stay again
The reception man is terrible, impolite, dirty and badly groomed. Wifi doesn’t work at all. Shower over floods almost immediately. Bed covers are dirty. Warm part of the breakfast is cold, scrambled eggs look funny. Taxis have a hard time getting to the area
This hotel was awesome! Check in was easy. The interior of the hotel has a sort of courtyard and the rooms circle around it. Very pleasant. Our room was HUGE. There were large beds in their own sort of mini rooms, separated by a large bathroom. It gave everyone in the room a sense of privacy and made falling asleep very easy. The beds themselves were very comfortable. The staff were very pleasant and provided recommendations on request
The hotel room was modern and spacious, and the hotel staff was very friendly. It is right in the city center, so it has a great location with nice restaurants very close. It had a lot of options for breakfast.
Stayed here for 2 nights and no complaints at all. The gentleman on reception was very friendly and helpful. Our room was modern, a comfortable bed and clean (although the corners were dusty by the bed) Breakfast was really generous with fresh coffee made to order and a very good choice of food. I enjoyed staying here and would recommend it.
