Best thing about the place is the host, lovely guy who will help you any way he can. Amazing location, just 5 mins walk from the centre. The rooms are very large, but feel very empty and unfriendly. Bathroom - you're at the mercy of the other guests.
Thanks Andrea! We stayed for just one night, the B&B is a little bit far from train station( 30mins by walk), but we got the biggest room I ever stayed! With nice street view, love the room and the breakfast, Andrea prepared some breads, cookies, juice, moka coffee, americano coffee etc, it’s really enough for a breakfast, and he let us leave our luggage with 100% trust, there is a 24hr carrefour near the B&B but we were too tired to check it. I’ll recommend this B&B to anyone who come to Bologna!
Room spacious, with balcony. Shared bathroom, so you have to wait in the morning little bit when you are not fast enough, and then it is not very clean. Close to center. Wifi worked great. Owner little bit cold, he told us that we must not bring other people to room when he mrt us on the street..well, this is self-evident...! But quality/price = good value!
This was an excellent B&B! The rooms were very large with comfortable beds, the bathrooms always had plenty of hot water and the WiFi signal was very strong. Having breakfast included saved the hassle of going into town straight away. We would tell Andy (the owner) that we were ready and he would bring it to our room a short while later. Andy was very helpful; he gave us maps of Bologna and he lent me a phone charger when mine broke. A life saver as I needed my phone for the airport check in and to stay up to date with the football! The B&B is in a great location - just a 10 minute walk from the main square (Piazza Maggiore). I will definitely recommend it to any friends or family that visit Bologna.
Andy the owner was pleasant and welcoming when we first arrived from Rome on a grey drizzly day. It was a comfortable 25 minute walk from the main train station mostly under cover with beautiful collenades to protect from the rain. The rooms were huge and being an old building could be noisy if you had inconsiderate guests next door. The shared bathroom facilities were reasonable and had plenty of hot water. Location was good being only a 5 min or so walk from the city centre and close to cafe's and restaurants. We stayed here for 3 nights and it was very pleasant. The bed was clean and comfortable.
My Girlfriend and I very much enjoyed our stay. The room was clean and quiet and it is 10 mins walk from the medieval towers. We were met by zeno (we think) He gave us a warm welcome, helped us get around and even gave us a simple breakfast in bed with a drink of our choice. Would reccomend Bologna Old Town to anyone. Have fun in the old fashioned lift :)
The property is about a 10 minute walk from the city centre. The room was clean and was equipped with a very comfortable bed, table and cupboard. The bathroom was shared but very clean and towels were supplied if required. Breakfast was served daily from 7.30 am to 10.30 am, very reasonable times. While it was not anything extravagant, the breakfast was perfectly adequate (continental style). The host was very polite and helpful. I would recommend this B&B to anyone who wants to stay in Bologna for a few days.
First time in Bologna We only had one day to spend and first time in Bologna. This B&B had a perfect location! The rooms are very spacious and clean. Toilet in the corridor, also very clean (towels included). It had a very nice and familiar feeling and we were very well taken care of.
My boyfriend and I stayed from New Year's Eve till 3 January 2016 in this B&B. It is very close to the city centre, only a 10 minute walk from Plaza Maggiore, but a quiet neighborhood at night. The manager, Andrea, is present almost 24/7. He is very friendly and his English is quite good. In the morning, you should notice him you are awake and then he makes coffee and prepares breakfast and brings this to your room. The rooms have beautiful wooden floors and are very large. Nice clean bed and closet. There are two shared bathrooms on the floor. Those are a bit older but decent and easy to use.
We arrived after dark at this B&B after a ridiculously long travel day, and were so relieved to be warmly welcomed by our host and led to a massive and comfortable room. Our host was very friendly and eager to give us all the information we needed for our stay, including restaurant recommendations and directions. The large bed was so comfortable I never wanted to get out of it, and the bathrooms are both very clean and spacious. The B&B is also really well-located, very close to the heart of the Old Town. To be honest, the breakfast was not the best (sweet biscuits, pre-packaged toast, jam, and a sweet cake), but I liked the novelty of having it brought to your room. And for the price, it's not too bad. If you're looking for a "homely" feel in a B&B this is not for you, but it was perfect for what we needed. Though, given the sheer size of the room, a little coach/sofa for comfortable seating in the room wouldn't go astray.…
