I loved this small boutique type hotel. I only had one night but I was met with a good welcome, helped with my case and given advice on the surrounding area. Having been to Bologna before I knew this hotel to be in a very convenient place for a woman alone. I didn't feel worried about heading out on my own for dinner. My room was perfect for one, had everything you need and was quaint. Breakfast was very nice, I don't understand how other reviews say it was terrible but anyway..... A taxi was arranged for me with no trouble. So for me this was a most enjoyble stay.
I stayed for one week in this very charming hotel in the heart of Bologna. The neighbourhood is buzzing and vibrant and is close to any other place you want to visit. Staff was very nice and helping and helped me a lot about a key that I forgot in my room! The room itself was very nice, big bathroom that was very clean. Very recommendable hotel, I would return any time to.
We loved our stay here, the staff couldn’t be more friendly, helpful and accommodating. The hotel is located right in the middle of the city where all the amazing attractions and restaurants are located. We were there only one night, wish we planned to stay longer, definitely had the best meals of our multi-city Italian trip here. We were there on a Saturday in October, the streets were exploding with bustle, music, street performers, a real party atmosphere. The crowd was almost exclusively Italians, very few foreign tourists. Our cab ride could not take us all the way to the front door of the hotel, they close many streets to traffic on the weekend. Our room was on the smaller side but very beautiful with marble floors and a fun painting on the ceiling. We really loved this hotel and the friendly, multilingual staff.…
Great small romantic hotel right in the center of things. You can walk everywhere. Cute room that came equipped with a kettle and a small fridge. Across the alleyway there was a fruit stand and there were shops galore that sold bread, wine, cheese and sliced meats. Our first night, with jet lag, we had a picnic in our room. Staff was super nice, especially Camilla who provided us with plates and silverware. Room was super clean, nice linens. Towels were nice and there was plenty of hot water. Our only complaint was that there could have been more light in the bathroom. The breakfast buffet was extensive and of good quality. The coffee was good and it was no problem to get seconds. We speak Italian but the staff easily accommodates guests from many different places. Bravo.
A lovely stay in a gorgeous boutique hotel. The staff couldn’t be more helpful in assisting us with advice on where to eat and go in the city - even letting us know where to head for a replacement adaptor! The hotel is bang in the centre of everything with walking distance to all the sights and restaurants. Air conditioning a big plus too!
The Albergo was a perfectly located treat. Walking out the door directly into a food market street w/ bakery, vegetable, fish, meat shops was perfect for the culinary-oriented in this food-oriented city. The staff were warm & friendly w/ good restaurant recommendations. The room was comfortable (it was 40º C - 104ºF outside but comfortable inside), quiet, clean, & nicely appointed in a traditional style. We will be staying here again.
We stayed for 2 nights at this wonderful little hotel. Perfectly situated in the middle of Bologna above some quaint shops. The reception is on the first floor and there is a lift to any rooms above that. The staff on reception always greeted us each time we passed. Our room on the third floor was beautiful. A good size with twin beds and a large bathroom with shower. There was air conditioning, a kettle, hairdryer and mini bar. We didn't have breakfast in the hotel as there are lots of lovely places around to sit outside and take in the Italian charm. Very well situated for Maggiore Piazza, restaurants and shops . This hotel will definitely be my go to hotel whenever I'm next in Bologna, we loved it and all the staff were fantastic.
What a beautiful gem of a hotel. Wonderful location and such friendly staff. I would highly recommend a stay here if you are in Bologna. The rooms are absolutely lovely, such nice furniture and with the necessary air conditioning needed in the hot summer
I just spent 4 nights at the Albergo delle Drapperie and it was the perfect hotel for a single tourist in a great location in Bologna. I would highly recommend it. It is just off the Piazza Maggiore down a small side street surrounded by restaurants, bars, and food stores. It is a small hotel with smallish rooms but it is very clean. The best part of the experience was the very helpful and friendly staff both at the front desk and persons attending to breakfast in the mornings. And the location can’t be beat.
Ideal location for sightseeing in Bologna; very convenient to walk to all the sites. However, our second floor room faced the picturesque pedestrian side street which by day was charming but at night reverberated with loud voices until the wee hours, then the loud sounds of street cleaners and their machines sweeping back and forth AND then beginning about 5 am, the sound of the local fishmongers setting up and chopping ice by hand to display their fish. Noise all night long. Bring ear plugs. Double room was very small but bathroom was a good size and nicely appointed.
