This hotel is supposed to be in the top 5 hotels in Bologna, and I would rate it good value for money. It is a 4 star boutique hotel – modern facilities and with classy interiors managing to keep the historic “feel” of the original building and architecture with quite a minimalist interior design. I had a confirmed prepaid booking...

This was a typical bland business hotel. We had a room at the side and as we are light sleepers, found it noisy. The air con cut in and out and the bed was not particularly comfortable. There were high opaque windows so there was no view - even of the sky! We only paid extra for one breakfast which...

We stayed 4 nights in a very large room and well-appointed bathroom. The room faced the back garden and was quiet despite the location of the hotel on a very busy street. Service overall was very good. You can walk to almost any interesting site and restaurant from the location. What was exceptional was Irena at the front desk. We...

My visit to this hotel was a short one as I was there for the exhibition. I wanted to stay in a hotel that is in the city and a bit away from the exhibition centre and this was recommended to me. A four star, hip semi-botique hotel. I must say, going in and seeing the lobby, it was a...

A great hotel and great value for money, we have stayed twice in twelve months at different times of the year. A very modern hotel with a charming exterior, the hotel is ideally located for the best of the city and the station/airport. The staff are very helpful and have great knowledge of the city that they are happy to...

We spent 2 nights in this hotel just recently. Firstly arriving, we drove to the Hotel and is very easy to locate with Sat Nav, there is a small car park which is expensive but no reservation required. The hotel reception is very cool and restrained and as mentioned is an oasis of calm. Friendly staff had us very quickly...

Very modern hotel near to the train station and close to the main centre of Bologna. Room was relatively small but very clean. Hotel had a Michelin star restaurant and a terrace bar (we were given two free glasses of prosecco on arrival).

If Bologna is the best kept secret in Italy - and it is, because it is not over-run by tourists - then the I Portici Hotel is the best kept secret in Bologna. The morale of the staff is such that they all seem to think so too - competent, charming, gracious. The management obviously know something special about running...

Loads of reasons to stay at this hotel: - really beautiful rooms. Our good sized room, 410B, was a 'superior' room. It was a quiet corner dual aspect room overlooking a park with an amazing ceiling fresco and lovely marble floor. Comfy bed, modern minimalist modern furniture. Sadly slightly noisy aircon which wasn't quite cold enough at night. Decent enough...

We have just stayed for 4 nights in a superior room at this hotel and were very impressed by the friendly and efficient staff, the hotel in general and the standard of the room. The public area of the hotel is very modern with excellent use of glass screens and ceiling, and is a nice open area in which to...
