The location is good, a fairly short walk from the train station if you're arriving by train. It's just off the main square, which is phenomenal, very impressive. Vis a Vis is in a separate building to Hotel Duchi, although that is where you have to check in. It looks as if it has only recently been converted into a...

Trieste is a city one has to like - and I do - since it only has limited opportunities for tourists. If you are staying in the city only for a day, you are missing the best part of it - the nightlive on the streets. Therefore it is always good to stay in Trieste at least for a night,...

travelling for work and stayed 3 nights. Not sure how much this hotel cost since someone else booked it for me, so maybe I would change my rating if I knew. Also I spent very little time interacting with staff or using hotel Amenities since the meeting I was attending went from early to late, So do not want to...

We selected the hotel "Duchi Vis a Vis" because of the good recommendations at TripAdvisor and we really loved our stay, although it was only for one night. The hotel is located in a very good area, both for sightseeing, shopping and entertainment, the hotels are comfortable, clean and spacious. The price of course reflected the quality, if it would...

We stayed in the Vis a Vis during a weekend break in Trieste and were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms are bright and airy, the décor is modern while still in keeping with the traditional architecture of the building itself and we had a lovely view out onto the plaza. The impressive lobby area houses an interesting collection...

Nice room, great location on the Piazza, service was excellent and the breakfast position could not have been better- inside or outside seating overlooking the Piazza. Linen sheets on the bed was a nice touch. The only couple of comments which would stop an excellent rating is there was a lack of information in the room on the hotel services...

We spent the 2012 New Year's Eve in Trieste, our choice went to this residence looking to the positive feedback of the community. I do confirm we had a great experience, rooms are very nice and comfortable and the fact that the breakfast is served in the main hotel across the street isn't an issue at all but I would...

The vis a vis is the Annex of the Hotel Duchi d'Aosta. You check in/out, have breakfast and can use the facilities (lounges, free internet computer terminal) in the main hotel. The Annex is just across the street - in windy November Trieste that may mean coat and hat to go to breakfast. In the Annex there is an art...
