Detailed Reviews
I’ve just returned from a break in udine staying at the Astoria and it was lovely. The hotel is charming and full of art as is most of udine.
It’s in a great location, right on a square and walking distance to lots of interesting squares with coffee shops everywhere.
The rooms are comfy, old fashioned, and have everything you need except a mirror in the bedroom
Breakfast is buffet style, can be a bit hit and miss but you won’t starve

One night stay in a large single room, nicely furnished although somewhat dated overall. The AC was adequate, could have cooled a little better. Cleanliness and hygiene very good. Breakfast was served on pre-ordered trays straight from the fridge due to COVID regulations, the selection good enough. The service personnell were somewhat stressed, was my impression, although friendly. The location is right in the middle of town, which for me was the main reason for booking this hotel. I could use the underground parking to store my E-bike, for free.

Very pleasant hotel in the heart of this lesser-known city in NE Italy. Strange business with the door keys but otherwise all fine. Breakfast coffee served efficiently and room very quiet (at rear) despite local celebrations in the Piazza which I also enjoyed (so best of both worlds?)

Everything was fine - just fine. Wouldn’t give this hotel four stars. They promise high speed WiFi (literally stated like this) but it does not work at all. The bathtub is nice though, the bed is not very comfortable but also not bad.

We arrived at the hotel and were told we were upgraded to a suite. We had a living room, a bedroom and a bathroom, but the bathroom was not adjacent to the bedroom ad you had to walk through the living room to get to it. The sofas were comfortable though all the furniture was dark
We slept well although there was a humming noise. There were tea and coffee making facilities in the room with nice china cups. Breakfast was good , particularly the coffee. There was plenty of fresh fruit including strawberries. The scrambled egg was properly cooked unlike some hotels and there were nice pancakes.

We stayed 2 nights at the Astoria on a biking trip and really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is situated on a beautiful piazza in the historic old city and is easy walking distance from all the attractions, the best shops and lots of bars and restaurants. Our room was large, quiet, clean and very comfortable with a large bathroom and excellent bed. The view was of an internal rooftop utility area, so not very attractive, but this suited us very well as it meant there was no street noise. Staff were very helpful and there is secure bike storage. Impressive covid precautions still in force (staff were masked, plenty of hand sanitiser available). The breakfast lost it one star - on day 2 we arrived at 0845 for breakfast (which runs until 10) but the buffet had run out of plain croissants, milk and cereal. We asked for more but nothing turned up.

We stayed for 2 nights on a cycling holiday. We had upgraded to a suite. I’m not at all sure it was worth the additional €200 per night that we paid. The bedroom was fine, if a little small and the ‘living’ room was too small for the amount of furniture it had in it….a sofa, a chair and a round table to seat 4. It felt very cramped. The wifi reception in both rooms was poor….for the money we paid I expect it to work!
There was no information at all in the room about hotel facilities and services, or any info in the hotel about local sights and attractions. Given there us little evidence that covid is transmitted by touch there is no real reason for this now. There may have been a restaurant, I have no idea. There didn’t seem to be a bar.
Breakfast was good, although the room and the space it was laid out on were a little small. Reception staff were friendly and helpful.
It’s in a good location, with all the major sights being within walking distance. We could leave our bikes in the underground garage. The bed was comfortable. However I’m not sure why it is a 4 star hotel. It didn’t feel like one.

Very central historic hotel UNICO PLUS but dated both in furnishings and structure.
There is assigned a room that was also to be used as a communicating so much so that you really felt everything maybe even too much!
The real problem is the shower that lacked the door to close it, therefore uncomfortable and especially every time you use it floods the bathroom.
I pointed out to the staff the difficulty, and instead of understanding that you can not deliver a room in those conditions I am told that it is normal... after a disagreement with the resentful manager who pretended not to understand the situation (so not whimsy but real difficulty) only after showing a photo of the shower
I am offered a new room, after being treated as a person who does not understand, but I have not accepted the room and nor can I accept similar behavior in a hotel that should offer comfort and availability to the customer, three nights 551 euros

Spacious room and bathroom, large wardrobes, kettle with coffee and tea bags, very comfortable bed, double pillows, linens without those unhygienic bedspreads found in many hotels. The friendly, professional and helpful staff provide advice on restaurants, attractions and the surroundings of the city. Especially Marzia was outstanding! The central location, three minutes walk from the beautiful Piazza Libertà and the shopping streets.

I stayed at the structure for 2 nights in the Suite. The room smelled heavily of smoke, the mattress was old and overall the hygiene of the room was low. In addition the blonde woman working at the reception was beyond rude. Unfortunately overall a bad experience.

Absolutely no idea I'm afraid! I travelled up from Venice on the train ( a very straightforward journey indeed). I'd say the best bet is to contact your hotel, and ask them. But train travel is incredibly reliable and efficient as are the buses, and offer a terrific bit of sightseeing as well ( don't forget to visit Civitale de Friuli as well - Devil's Bridge a must. And the wonderful ice creams and wine shops all around the main piazza!). You'll have a great time!

Yes, we have two garages:
- one in the same block of the hotel
- another one placed in the back side of the hotel.
