My favorite "activity" after the end of a busy day was going up to the top floor around 5-6pm and relaxing with a Campari and soda on their comfortable outdoor furniture. David the owner, would cheerfully serve us and was consistently attentive to our comfort outside and inside our room. Continental Breakfast in their small breakfast room was a treat...

We spent a very pleasant five-night stay at Cinqueterre Residence at the start of October. The little hotel/B&B is perched on a hilltop overlooking the town of Riomaggiore, one of the five villages of Cinqueterre. It's a 5-10 mins walk down into town via either the road (longer) or a series of steps (over 120, weaving through the cobbled corridors...

This hotel was wonderful. It is at the top of the hill and has a great view of the town. The rooms were very well kept, the breakfast was amazing. Out of the 5 towns, Riomaggiore was also my favorite, so I am really pleased we stayed there. I hope to make it back one day, and if I do...

This hotel was a pleasant surprise. First time staying in the Cinque Terre area and Riomaggiore and Cinqueterre Residence was perfect. The room was extremely spacious as was the bathroom and the breakfast was excellent. As another reviewer said, be prepared to climb since it is in the Cinque Terre, after all. David gave great advice for getting there. Take...

We arrived in the middle of a downpour and didn't know where to go but David went above and beyond, coming down to meet us and pouring us a glass of complimentary wine when we got to the hotel. The family were charming and catered for our every need. The room was spotless and very comfortable; the terrace was just...

Our room was very spacious and we had a small courtyard outside with a table and couple of chairs, perfect for drinking a glass of wine while taking in the sunset. We received a glass of local wine upon arrival. Not a huge selection for breakfast but everything was fresh. We stayed five nights and there were fresh rolls every...

My partner and I stayed here for five nights and really enjoyed it. It's right up the top of the village so out of the tourist scrum. Like everywhere in the Cinqueterre, it involves lots of steps and inclines - so be warned!. We had a room at the top of the hotel with really great views - and probably...

My husband and I spent four nights at Cinqueterra Residence and would highly recommend this family run hotel. We were lucky to book the Tinetto Superior Double as this room has a terrace with spectacular views of Riommagiore. One night we brought food back to enjoy on our terrace as it was so relaxing. The grounds are well cared for...

We have just returned from visiting Cinqueterre Residence for the 4th consecutive year. Every year we returned we are made to feel very welcome. We were very well looked after by Carla, Peter and David. The hotel is beautiful and quite. The rooms are spotlessly clean and cater to our every need. We especially enjoy the beautiful terrace for some...

In our view Cinqueterre Residence is the perfect place for a stay in Riomaggiore! Friends stayed at another location that was ½ the climb. Each day when we met to set-off on hikes they reported on the noise they experience nearly ½ the night. Situated high above the town, we had had a very peaceful night at Cinqueterre Residence! I...
