Wow, what a view! We loved staying at La Baia di Rio for 3 nights in May. The Marco Polo Room is exactly as it is pictured and described. The view from the expansive balcony is stunning. I have to say, when I first contacted Emiliano to book, I was really hesitant. The whole booking process felt a bit uneasy...

Big, nice appartement with small cuisine. Best view in town. Quiet and close to the center. Emiliano is a nice guy and always ready with good tips and recommondations. Did you ever watch the kamikaze flights of the seagulls? Here you can do it, on eye level! Bathroom and TV are a bit small, not large enough to swing a...

A truly memorable stay was provided by this fine establishment. We had a self contained studio overlooking the sea and the town. Easy to get to from the train station as long as you remember not to take the underground passageway from the station to the village centre otherwise you will have to drag your cases back up steep stairs...

Highly recommend! Riomaggiore was the perfect place to stay in Cinque Terre, with a nice beach, great restaurants and everything you could need! Regarding La Baia del Rio, great communication, great information, beautiful views onto the sea, and really just a perfect place. After I got a little lost finding it (my fault, since great directions were sent by email,...

La Baia del Rio room Abel Tasman had amazing views, was comfortable and modern. The patio was the perfect size to sit and have your morning cappuccino and croissants from the cafe just down the walkway. Be prepared to walk down stairs to town and uphill to get to room. This was not a problem and made the stay more...

I've visited this place with my wife and we've spent a total of 3 nights, 2 nights at Abel Tasman for 120 € per night with balcony and sea view and the last night at Americo Vespucci for 90 €. I must admit that Emiliano is an excellent marketing person. The rooms are named basically as 1,2 and 3 etc....

First, this is not a hotel in the traditional sense. There is no front desk and no one present on the property to immediately respond to problems. This manifested itself when I tried to check in. There is a door bell at the hotel address and when pushed, a call was made. I don't know where the person is that...

My kids and I traveled to the beautiful Cinque Terre region of Italy and stayed at La Baia do Rio. The room was perfect, but working with Emiliano, the owner's son, was challenging. He gave us information that wasn't correct (the walk from Riomaggiore to Manarola was closed we learned later!) and it was difficult to reach him when I...

Thanks to Rick Steves, Vernazza is a welter of tourists; our time there was good but I'm really glad that we stayed in Riomaggiore. It actually has grocery stores, pharmacies, and churches, and not just majorca coffee table plates. We were there for 3 days & nights, and didn't begin to exhaust the foodie opportunities. The great thing about its...

This apartment was responsible for the most amazing and memorable holiday we have ever had. We had such a fabulous view we didn't bother with meals out in the evening, just made friends with the lovely friendly local butcher (Macelleria in the high street five minutes' walk away), bought gorgeous local salads, anchovies, olives, ligurian pesto and local wine in...
