Simple accommodation in the heart of Vernazza. Clean and comfortable it is the perfect accommodation for a Cinque Terre where you spend hardly any time in your hotel/b&b. The hostess was friendly and very welcoming. The room has an ensuite shower/toilet, kettle, fridge and safe. Would stay here again!

My husband and I stayed two nights in the ground floor bedroom of Ca Da Nonna. (We found this property on Booking.com) It is a good sized room, with a private bathroom, and everything is extraordinarily clean and tidy. Also, it is very well-appointed, with a mini fridge, kettle and tea and coffee, extra blankets, rack for hanging clothes, etc.... More

I did my research and chose this place based on the location advertised on booking.com off the main road and away from the train station. When we arrived we were told we were booked into a different site on the main drag across from a bar and next to the train station. Needless to say, very loud even with windows... More

The room was spacious enough and we were met at the station by the owner. The whole town seems to be a cash only environment, which I had read before going. No wifi. In our 3 night stay, we never saw the owner after paying her and our room was not serviced AT ALL: bin not emptied, dirty cups left... More

a Ca' da Nonna consists of just a handful of rooms 25 metres from the main street, 2 minutes from the station and 2 minutes from the sea. I received a great welcome from Anna, who met me at the station. She provided me with plenty of useful advice and was on call if assistance was required (not necessary on... More

Setting foot on to a train platform in a foreign town can be daunting. Not when you are going to be met by Anna. Warm, welcoming and very helpful and told us so much about Vernazza while we walked to her house. We had the top room with a small balcony where we could sit and relax. The room was... More

This is a hard review to write. Part of the problem is I don't know what the other accomodations are like in this area and how everything is handled. Maybe they are all very simple, but I have several safety concerns. When I made my reservation, they wanted me to give them my credit card through e-mail. That is never... More

We visited Vernazza for a few nights in August with our parents, so booked two rooms at a Ca' da Nonna. We were greeted by Anna, as arranged, and led to our rooms through the winding streets of Vernazza. As other reviews have said, you don't want to be lugging heavy suitcases in any of these towns, so just leave... More

Stayed here in July 2013 and had an awesome time. Vernazza was my favourite village in the Cinque Terre, and this house is perfectly located to make the most of it. It was great to interact with the locals, especially when they rescued a pair of shorts that fell from the top balcony onto someone else's roof! A group of... More

We had missed our train to Vernazza from Milan, and had no way of getting in touch with Luca, however when we were arrived we started to walk to the accommodation, and ran into "grandmother Vernazza" and another very helpful local lady and after a conversation in sign language, broken English and Italian, they managed to call up Luca's mother,...
