This was a quite wonderful guesthouse. Very, very clean, tidy and perfect location (Genoa tip - do not stay near the port!). Near one of the main train stations mean't that we could take the airport bus and walk 3 minutes to guesthouse for 6euros. 10 minute walk from the football stadia. Some lovely restaurants near by. And the host...

As we wanted to see areas around Genoa as well at the city we chose Il Borgo as it is so close to Brignole Station, Bus Station and Metro. Its location is one of its major plus points - only 3 minutes walk to the station for trips up and down the coast. Other good points are large, quiet room,...

I was very fortunate to find this property following check-in out of a hotel on the same day...! However, i was blown away by the sheer beauty and elegant apartment which is close to Brignole station. The owner, Giovanni was very hospitable and offered me & my partner a choice of rooms and services which became very useful. Giovanni was...

This B&B is located near the centre. Almost everything is within walking distance. And if you want to discover a little bit more outside of the city; also a trainstation and several busstops are nearby. Giovanni takes time for you to explain most of the hotspots, where to go for some good restaurants, good shopping or just a refreshing drink...

Up a long and steep staircase, Giovanni will help you with your bags, to your country chic room. OUr room on the second level, up from the breakfast room, was large, and tastefully decorated with soft pastels and whites. The large modern bathroom had a heated towel bar and a tub/shower combination. My sister had the smaller room next to...

Stayed here 2 days in august. It is runned by a married couple, that really did the best for us to have a great stay. We came later than expected, they still waited for us and met us. They gave us good recommendations for restaurants and how to get around in the city. It is located next to one of...

We (5 of us) stayed here for 3 nights in 3 rooms. We were greeted by Giovanni who assisted and insisted in taking our baggage up some quite steep stairs inside the B & B. He does this with all his guests and likewise when departing he takes your bags down the stairs for you. Our hosts Giovanni and Alessandra...

The warm welcome offered by our hosts Giovanni and Alessandra could not have offered a better start for a wonderful week in Genoa. This very charming BnB was ideally located to main train & bus station and metro (all within 100m) yet secluded enough to feel you were in a quiet part of town. The old city was within very...

When you have travelled for 8 hours in the searing heat and are warmly greeted in the street by a man holding a fan because he 'thought your room would be too hot,' you know you're on to a winner. Everything about our two night stay at Il Borgo di Genova was great. 3 minutes walk from Brignole train station...

I usually stay away from places so close to a train or bus station but Il Borgo is the exception that may prove the rule. Set on a quiet (after 10 when the restaurant across the street is operating), typical Genovese street, the B&B is a jewel. Alexandra and Giovanni are wonderful hosts, always helpful. From our fist email contact...
