We arrived by car and was lucky to get a parking spot outside the hotel in a safe place. We decided not to move the car for the next 2 days as we would have lost that spot! We stayed 2 nights and thought the location by the ocean good & hotel was close to a bus stop. The room...

I only reserved this place for our party of seven as a stopover on our way north. It is a up a narrow side road where our Peugeot Boxer would barely go and once we arrived we were told we would have to park elsewhere and pay for it. The manager/proprietor was drunk - next morning he was just obnoxious....

We stayed a night at La Capannina and were given the rooftop rooms where your bedroom door litreally opens onto the sunny rooftop with gorgeous views. Walking distance to the beach, parking outside, comfortable large bed and an adequately clean bathroom, with a simple breakfast in the morning – we found this hotel to be great value for a stay...

If you come by train to Genova Brignole there is a bus 31 just opposite the entrance of the station to go to the Boccadasse district where the hotel is located. Buy bus tickets in newspaper kiosks. The good thing is the location as the beach is 5 minutes away and there are different dining options by foot or bus...

We have occasionally stayed a night or two at La Capannina at least a half dozen times over the past several decades and know the owner/managers by name. That this is located away from the center and near the sea is appealing, despite the difficult access (extremely narrow one-way street) and impossible parking situation. The latter improved slightly about a...

Very close to the boardwalk along the coast, but it is two bus transfers away from the main train station (Genoa Piazza Pri). Free Wi-fi, but signal is weak. The walls in my room are like paper --- could hear every word of people talking in the next room, as well as their TV and alarm clock and bathroom. Staff...

The hotel is not placed in the center of Genoa. It is in an area called Boccadasse. You need to take a 20 minutes bus to get the downtown. For me, that was a wonderful thing as we preffer the nearby areas, not the main and noisy ones. Bocadasse is a town almost taken from a dream, with typicall and...

My wife and I stayed here for 7 days from late May to early June 2008. We found it to be very good for our purposes. There is a nearby fishing village where the Genevese come because they find it chic. Lots of nearby, mainly seafood, restaurants. Nice to be able to walk along a wide promenade with restaurants overlooking...
