A modern, chic hotel with original Italian artwork throughout and a great aesthetic. Room decor was contemporary black and cream, and the shower design/bathroom was spectacular. A close walk to all the sights, restaurants and shopping in Genoa. I would highly recommend it.

Opened in 2007 as The Bentley, now a Melia property this very contemporary, slightly Egyptian motif big chain hotel is in a quiet residential area just outside the Historic Center and actually a little closer to the less hectic Genoa Brignole train station than the main. It's about 12 e cab ride from the Termini or 1.50 e for the...

We stayed during our honeymoon 2 nights in Genova. This 5 star hotel really earned it's stars, it was beautifull - clean - nicely decorated. The breakfast is worth every penny, so I warmly recommend it! We didn't go to the spa area, but I think its worth a visit too. And if you are travelling by car, use the...

A recent stay in this hotel was fine and with others who where with us I would happily recommend this hotel and its staff and a nice feel to this vibrant city. However some tips, if you want a taxi for more than four people, ie a people carrier force home your request as you could as we did end...

My partner and I stayed here for two nights in the middle of the week for leisure. It was one of the highest star-rated and best reviewed hotel in the city, and we found a good deal, so we decided to give it a try. Our stay certainly lived up to our expectation. We were given an interior facing room...

We loved our 1 night stay here. On the day we were leaving we had no hot water on the shower! Friendly service they let us check in early and use the room which helped us a lot. It's in a quiet part but close to everything on foot.

The excellent Melia Genova is perfectly positioned for historic, gastronomic or shopping walks around the bustling old city of Genoa. It is recognised as the top (5 star) hotel in the city - see accompanying road sign photo. From Genoa's Christopher Columbus airport we were taken for a ride on the toll autostrada to East Genoa by our taxi driver...

It has a great location; it is walking distance to excellent shopping on Via XX settembre and to the Porto Antico via little residential streets where one can have a little feel of the life of the locals. Accommodations are just perfect: luxurious, but not over the top. Comfortable beds (which is very important), great heated inside swimming pool, rain...

“We would have preferred a quieter room as we had requested when booking. Our room was at the front of the hotel on the first floor. The bar on the opposite side of the road was very noisy the first night and traffic noise was noticeable each night. There didn't seem to be effective noise-insulation. Perhaps rooms at the back of the hotel or on higher levels at the front suffer less from noise. The room was hot and stuffy and this, together with the noise from outside, made it difficult to sleep. The bed was comfortable enough but without the peace and tranquility of a cool room we could not take full advantage of this comfort. The swimming pool area provided a welcome opportunity to relax, but was too small for more than three people and inadequate for any worthwhile swimming.”

“602 was billed as a junior suite with balcony. It was a room rather than a suite but very comfortable. The balcony was huge - as big as the room with table and chairs and longers so a real bonus if the weather was hot. Only downside was a large gull which woke us at dawn every morning by attacking its reflection on the outside of the glass door leading to the balcony. We suggested to the hotel that they should affix a non-reflective material to the lowest 30cms of the glass to try to deter it- from the evidence of droppings on the balcony floor just outside the window, it is a regular visitor.”
