Definitely not for a couple on honeymoon. We just needed a nice place to crash for the night before our visit to Cinque Terre the next morning. Since Cinque Terre was very expensive, we went for Hotel Astoria. The receptionist hardly spoke English and we were in for a shock when we realized there is no air conditioning, only a...

This was once a grand hotel. Decor tired but positives are .... Good size immaculately clean rooms. Good bathroom but note the shower alcove is very small. Large bed, a/c, wifi and fridge. great breakfast - the croissants were exceptional. Located not far from station and many reasonably priced restaurants. Laundromat nearby - ask reception. Also easy walk to ferry....

In my opinion I think the hotel is average at best. The first room I stayed in had a broken shower, so they upgraded me which was nice but they were aware of the broken shower and continued to use the room anyways. I also noticed cigarette butts on the stair case and they actually lasted around 2 days there...

We only stayed here for one night while we visited the Cinque Terre. The room was clean, shower and bathroom facilities all worked fine. They offer a breakfast buffet which we had and thought was good value. Cheap, and located close to the train station. Good if you're visiting Cinque Terre.

We stayed for one night, en route to Cinque Terre. It's in a great location, 5-10 min walk to the station. We arrived late at night, close to midnight, but there was someone available at reception to check us in. We had a large room, one double and a single bed for the two of us. Yes, decor is a...

The rooms are very ugly (but that's not very important if you're just looking for a place to sleep during your holidays in La Spezia). However this might even concern those who are just looking for a cheap hotel; the showers are old and they lack hygiene! You will certainly not want to take a shower in them. On top...

I stayed here with friends and found that the rooms were decent sizes. The bathrooms however were quite small and struggled with the water pressure/temperature. Only had one key between three of us which we had to leave with reception if we left. Beds were comfy and I enjoyed the breakfast that was offered.

I would compare this hotel to a best western in that the room was similar in many ways. Spacious, clean and in a quiet location, this hotel was worth the couple extra bucks we had to spend in order to stay. The breakfast was also pretty good. The room had wifi with a decent strength, and the bathroom was nice...

Very close to main train station 5 mins walk, decors are outdated. No air condition, receptionist was on the phone for 10 mins with her friend while we waited for check in. we stayed for 2 nights and we didn't have any problem, everything is basic including breakfast. Good place to stay for short period and reasonable price.

The hotel has no air con only a very small fan.We booked a double through the tour company and we got a twin. When I asked for a double the reception guy just said no more rooms. Even our tour guide has said this hotel is the pits and she doesn't want to use it again. If ever you are...
