We only stayed one night due to late arrival to Malpensa. Chose a B&B at Bergamo bassa so that we would skip the hassle with driving at the restricted area in Bergamo alta. We got directions from the owner where to find their garage and the code to the gate. From there it was an easy five minutes walk. The...

We had great stay at Paolo's house. We enjoyed everything - friendly and helpful owner, who takes care of every detail - even how to nicely arranged fruits on the plate, beautiful house, stylish eclectic spacious two floor apartment - very clean, equipped with a fridge, kettle, towels, tasty breakfast (with delicious coffee made by a lady from Burkina Faso)...

Hotel has no Signage outside so you have to ask locals for direction. Rooms are very nice with paintings on it but loud during the night because its within a living quarter. Yes, its within the old town and its very convenient for sightseeing. Parking space can be difficult during the day since the street outside is very narrow. To...

Stayed here whilst visiting our son at Bergamo university. Great value. About 15 - 20 minutes walk from the centre of the (lower) town. Very attractive room, a river/stream running was running in full spate under window which was lovely during the day but noisy at night time. Recommended a good, traditional trattoria locally for dinner.

Italy is a complex conglomerate of refinements and decay, but out of this conglomerate the artist will, inevitably, make new creations with a genuinely personal touch and so Paolo Prestini has done of his so called B&B in Bergamo not far from Milan. His friendliness and hospitality is breathtaking and so was the suite, we had. To those of an...

I stayed for a night in this place with my parents. The design is stunning! It looks very much italian and historical. Rooms also look very nice and clean. Hosts were good and provided us with everything we asked. The only problem was that in the night room got a bit cold and neither we not the hosts were able...

Two adults and two kids (12 &14) had a very present four nights stay. We eat the breakfast every morning for €6 each which we find was good. We had a very nice suite in two floors which also included a jucuzzi in a "bonus room" on the upper floor. This place felt genuine.

A weekend with our kids in wonderful Bergamo. This B&B is full of service-minded people no matter what issue you have. Service was 100 % for us and we can really recommend you to stay here. We had the room at the top floor and it was really nice and worth the price. The breakfast can be somewhat improved, but...

Last Sunday we had to go from Venice to Milan and decided to stop in Bergamo for the night and booked a room at l'angolo del poeta without expecting much. Dovevamo andare da Venezia a Milano domenica scorsa e abbiamo deciso di vermarci a dormire a Bergamo e prenotammo una stanza qui senza aspettarci granche' I would never have thought...

The age and character of the establishment gave us a great kick start to our trip around northern Italy/ Switzerland. We really appreciated the feeling and the vibe. Clean and all amenities as expected. Note that there was tea and coffee in the room, which turns out NOT to be a given in the region (so don't expect it everywhere)....
