The reception is just operated between some time in the morning and the evening. If you are arriving after 10 o`clock in the evening, you can not check in... The reception is not operated continuously, you need to call them on the smart phone that they are coming to open you the reception. Breakfast is not available. The room were... More

The location was excelent; the room was basic, but clean and fairly well-kept. The guesthouse (WATCH OUT: IT IS NOT A B&B!) is walking distance from all points of interest, very good restaurants and coffee shops. We liked especially the fact that we were totally independent, coming and going at our liking. We took our breakfast at the local Pasticceria Siciliana,... More

We stayed here on New Years Eve 2015. Perfect location, just minutes walk from the main square and Lake Como, directly across from the Cathedral and 15-20 minutes walk to main train station. There is also parking available at a small fee. The staff were friendly and helpful and more than happy to communicate with us in English. We arrived... More

Very friendly staff, rooms were clean and well maintained. We shared a bathroom with others on our floor, 2 other rooms. We were referred to a restaurant close by that gave a discount for hotel guests. Excellent place, great food! Very close to town center and across the street from the Duomo in Como. Hallway in our apartment that shared... More

I stayed in the Grey room, and found it was perfect for my solo retreat. There was one night where I discovered how thin the walls were, when my neighbours got quite rowdy, but aside from that, I wouldn't have known. Yes, reception is only open at certain times: it's a guest house, so this is understandable. When reception was... More

We stayed in the "Marilyn" room, it was so lovely. First of all it was clean. The colour of the walls were lila/purple and were decorated with "Marilyn Monroe" figures. The balcony door and curtains were fancy. The bathroom was also nice, bathtub was clean. The staff was so kind. But the most important thing is that the location was... More

We spent one night in the seperate building of gira guesthouse and had a big room (room-name "Bellagio") with an own bathroom. The room looked quite new and everything was clean. The furniture consisted mostly of IKEA-stuff, and was for sure not luxury, but functional and there was everything we needed. I was not disturbed by the noise of the... More
