Stayed here in november 2012 with our adult daughter. The hotel is well situated for both the old town piazzas and the lakeside. it is in a small piazza with cafes and restaurants around it. The entrance is disappointing and the lift is temperamental. However, we found the reception staff helpful and friendly as were the staff at breakfast. The...

I stayed as a single traveller and would not recommend this Hotel to anyone. After a long flight from Australia I stayed overnight in Malpenza at the Holiday Inn Express with soft bedding, sound proof rooms all clean and very new with all ammenities and a great breakfast. I travelled to Como by train and proceeded to check into the...

We stayed at the hotel for four nights. The hotel were unable to supply a child's bed for our seven year old daughter as we did not book it in advance. The manager was particularly rude and made it clear that she would not help. We ended up sleeping three to a bed which was extremely uncomfortable for my wife...

We spent a night here on our way to Bellagio as we wanted to break our journey following a long trip from Australia. We were very pleased with the hotel which was well located, on a pleasant piazza and very close to the ferry. The room was basic but clean and comfortable. The bathroom was very large and well equipped....

This hotel from the outside looks good - it has 3 stars so maybe that is just for location. We had stayed in another hotel which is part of the centrohotleslagocomo group which was really enjoyable and excellent food (Hotel Tremezzo) so we thought the standards would be similar.... but no we were really disappointed with the rooms, the bed...

We stayed here for 2 nights, bed was like sleeping on a pallet of bricks, tv didn't work until I called down to reception and someone came up to fix it, they couldn't fix it so told us we would have to wait until the next day (I told the girl in no uncertain terms that that was not good...

Had a lovely view from the small balcony overlooking the Piazza Volta. Location very central for restaurants, sights and the ferry. WiFi was irregular and air conditioning woefully inadequate for the warm weather. When we mentioned both problems we were told that the hotel was under new management and these were things that would be addressed. Alas, too late for...

We had room number 32 which opened up to a stunning lake view in the morning! The boat service is right across the street and is in a great location - perfect for evening strolls and people watching. It is worth getting a day pass to go see Mennaggio and Varenna...the two other beautiful towns nearby. Note that it may...

Location of the hotel is great, right amongst all the cafes, restaurants and across the road from the pier, where we got the boat up Lake Como. Room was a reasonable size and pretty clean & tidy inside. There were a few gripes we had though: It was noisy until the cafe's closed at night and there was no air-con...

My husband and I stayed here for 1 night on the spur of the moment -- a day trip that turned into an overnight. The location is perfect for people-watching - steps away from the bustling piazza. The room was a comfortable size, not too tiny, and a very good value. We ate dinner in the piazza that night and...
