Requested and paid 6 weeks in advance for their best room. Instead we were downgraded to a wardrobe sized rooms and the staff could not have cared less. No concierge nor a porter, staff stood and watched me struggle up and down stairs with heavy bags........the worst service received on our 30 day tour. Simply bad all round.

There are many delightful ways that this retreat will surprise you. If you sign up for the breakfast and dinner package, which we did, then you do not have to worry about where to go for dinner when you arrive. There are at least 3 choices for each of 4 courses and most courses offer a good range of options....

We returned Sunday of our stay at Auberge du Portage. A wonderful stay. The inn is charming, tidy, quite up to date, modern, cozy and the view on the St-Laurent and its sunsets is very inspiring. The staff is friendly and service is attentive throughout. The pool and hot tubs outside are really nice addition. We had the cottage during...

We were at this hotel for one night being part of a travel vacation. Rooms were outdated, felt like we had time traveled back to the 40's. But even being old, there was no smell like you would expect. The location is great with a great view. Our room was not ready when we arrived, at about 4pm, which the...

I've eating at the Sunday buffet there many times, and the food is delicious. It's a higher-end restaurant (located in the hotel) and pricey, but the experience is amazing. It's a classier place, so people usually dress up a bit. The dining room overlooks the St-Laurent river and it's spectacular. There's a covered terrace serving as a second dining room,...

I cant believe it ! So ordinary. Only the room was great, being one of the most expensive one. The spa: old, one was broken, all cracked. The restaurant: one thing first: we cook well in this (our) house. The food was totally inacceptable for a restaurant like this. 175$ for 2 with a Bottle of wine. No more scallops!...

Each year since 1996, I reach for this gem auberge for rest and relaxation with a group of friend. Each year brings peace and relaxation by the St Laurent river. Fresh air, reasonable cost and impeccable gastronomical experience

En-route to Halifax from Toronto, we stayed at this beautiful spot instead of staying in a roadside motel. And what a good decision that was. Could have spent more than just a night, what with free kayaks, bikes, lovely walks, sunset watching. It is just west of Rivere-du-Loup,only a few minutes off the Trans Canada. Worth it. And definitely add...

We were at this hotel for one night being part of a travel vacation. Rooms were outdated, bed was tired if not dead with a result that I could not sleep most of the night. The location is great with a great view. We were welcome by a young gentleman who was helpful. Unfortunately, that was the only positive thing...

“We didn't reserve ahead, so we took what we got and it was very reasonably priced. There were beachfront rooms that would have cost more, but we were there only for a night. Each area of rooms has its own hot tub and everyone walks around in the robes provided, even to breakfast.”
