Yes this hotel remains I would think the best in sirmione , surrounded as it is by the most beautiful Grounds , totally secluded yet within a very short walk of the town centre . The staff are excellent I did not recognise any of the critical comments by some other members All are friendly ,particularly the head waiter in...

Villa Cortine is understated elegance of the highest degree and I recommend everyone should treat themselves to at least one night stay once in their lives. I was lucky enough to be a guest here for a whole week last week and have had to come back down to reality now! This is serious luxury every step of the way...

Having stayed at the Savoy, London in Summer, I'm well pleased with my first day here. So far I feel at ease just as I was @ the Savoy, but we have only just arrived, the Savoy takes some beating, it's my favourite hotel of all time.

I could write a book about why this hotel is Perfect. There is nothing I could fault about this hotel. Stayed for a week for my wife's 50th birthday. I had high expectations and the hotel did not disappoint. Service is excellent, staff excellent, room was spotless, had a gala dinner which was perfect, location is great. It makes you...

This is a very beautiful and quiet hotel in mass-tourism Sirmione Lovely park surrounding a 19th Neo-Roman Villa, with 1950-ies addition (the main part of the hotel). Lovely jetty with sunbeds at the lake with great views The restaurant is problematic. The food, especially for dinner, is bland), and the staff is poor and sometimes even terrible. Also we did...

We decided to stay at this hotel, following a day visit to Sirmione last year from Verona. It was the right decision, as other hotels are very touristy and this hotel has a calm feel about it away from the crowds. So that was all a plus point. The picture shown on the website is not the front of the...

Step back in time and breathe in the complete peace. Set in the most beautiful grounds, lovely staff, lovely pool, minutes from the heart of the town, although not ideal for anyone not totally able bodied, as it is a walk down hill with steps into the town through an unlit public park and vice versa on the way back....

I titled this review 'looking down from heaven' because sitting outside eating breakfast and looking down at Lake Garda with the cloud topped mountains behind, is what I imagine the roman gods would have mythologically done. Villa Cortina is the entrance to heaven at the end of the historic town of Sirmione. The gates with the enticing garden behind, open...

We loved this hotel so much that we are going back next year. We don't usually return to the same place but 3 nights just wasn't enough. We had a comfort room with part lake view which was lovely. The hotel has an understated luxury which is lovely. The gardens and pool area are beautiful and the setting is very...
