Definitely I don't really understand how Italian authorities star hotels. A 2* hotel in the rest of Europe is much more. A 2-metre-high window facing nowhere... A helpful, nice guy received you. The place is clean.

I stayed here a few years ago, and knew going into it that it would be a budget experience given the price and ratings. But this experience was by far one of the worst I've had in my life, even given those lower expectations. Not sure if the same front-desk agent is there, but he made my stay a nightmare....

I knew that this is a cheap hotel and had read the reviews, so I was not surprised by anything. Although I had booked in advance, the receptionist had no idea about my arrival but accommodated me without problems. The room was old, but clean, nothing was missing, everything functioned well. The staff was very friendly and helpful, they even...

This place is falling apart. Toilet was broken and making noise. You had to pay extra to have the remote control of air conditioning and Milan in summer is very very hot. So tried the ventilator. Ventilator was extremely noisy which was a problem because I could turn off mine but not the ones in the other rooms (and I...

The good thing about this hotel is it was cheap. The bad thing is it was cheap. Looking around, it was a very reasonable price, however, I was shocked when I came in. I had a private room with a private bathroom. It was one of those bathrooms where there is no separation between the shower and the toilet, so...

This hotel is located just next one of the Navigli, few minutes walking from the underground stop Romolo. the staff is really friendly and helpful, anything i have asked they have been brilliant.obviously is a cheap hotel for Milan prices,so the room isn't a five star, but wardrobe, desk, chairs, fan and tv are in the room, plus the bathroom.the breakfast is included. So if...

Last minute reservation for two nights was 90€: definitely a good price for Milan. Also the position is quite ok near public transportation. That's about it. The room was small, windowless and definitely not clean: I found a cockroach and the pillow had a blood stain not so small (7cm of diameter). The walls are very thin and you can...

As someone else already wrote, you get what you pay for. Or maybe a little less than that. To be honest, I booked it rather last minute and 40 euros per night for a single room in Milan is arguably a bargain. However, the room had hardly anything in it and the shower just barely worked. But there was a...

This hotel was clean but extremely spartan. We didn't mind, because we just slept there, and spent the days in somewhere else. It is what it is, cheap low budget place. Although there's one really good thing. There's plenty on excellent fine dining restaurants in really close to this hotel.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
The Mercurio Hotel, which has been completely restructured with a 24 hour reception, is ready to welcome you with 19 classically styled rooms, all of which are equipped with: private bathroom with shower, hairdryer, telephone, TV Lcd and free wi-fi internet connection. Our two stars hotel, situated in the south of Milan near Porta Ticinese, is a great base for spending an enjoyable week-end due to the numerous bars and restaurants located in the "Navigli" district. Thanks to its proximity to the Tangenziale Ovest (the West Ring Road) [exit: Viale Liguria] it is easily reached from the motorway. It is also a great position for reaching the Forum di Assago, venue of a lot of national and international concerts... The Mercurio Hotel has a warm atmosphere thanks to the two young managers who will look after your every need in a kind and professional manner. Furthermore, the Gaetano Pini, San Paolo and Humanitas hospitals are situated very near to us and we have special prices throughout the year for guests who are also attending these hospitals. ... more   less
