Residence de la Gare was almost perfect for a short break in Milan. After a somewhat daunting effort of finding the hotel on a dark street at midnight, we were largely satisfied with facilities and services. The apartment was well maintained and comfortably spaced for two with luggage. Closet space was more than adequate both in the bedroom and living...

This residence is located conveniently close to the station but a bit far to the city center. We still could walk. Our apartment was nice, big, clean and very quiet. The private car park nearby is very convenient. We left quiet early but someone was available for the check out

Stayed here for three nights and found this a good location. Close to central station and easy to get the underground to a number of places within Milan including the Duomo and other tourist spots. Good service and well appointed with separate lounge and basic cooking facilities (not that we used them!) and lots of small eateries in the near...

We spent 4 nights in a 1 bed apartment with our baby. A lovely travel cot was provided with sheets, pillow and duvet. This gave us more freedom than a hotel room. As the bedroom was separate from the living room and dining room we could have dinner without disturbing the sleeping baby too much. The apartment was basic but...

I stayed here for 6 weeks due to business and I was very happy with the residence. They are incredibly friendly and helpful at the reception, even offered to let me know when my washing was done. The apartment itself is a little older and the style isn't modern, but it's clean and with the daily change of towels it...

Booked here for 5 nights with our teenage daughter. Apartment was fairly spacious with a good bathroom, size and water pressure wise. Plus it had a bath. When we first got there seemed a bit dark but it was winter and all windows shut. Kitchen was ok but not so a lot cooking utensils so hard to cook complex meals...

Stayed for 2 nights at end of October. It's a very nice apartment with lovely marble floors. It's very clean and spacious with plenty of wardrobe space. Only downside was the view but we didn't spend too much time in the room to care about it. The lift in the hotel was very unique and old but it done the...

In January 2015 we spent three nights in the Residence De La Gare in Milan, which for my husband and me was the best place we ever stayed in Milan. It is in the Via Mauro Macchi 49 and only 5 to 10 minutes away from the main station, the Milano Centrale, and from the stop of the Malpensa shuttle...

The location is great, 5 minute walk from Milano Centrale Station which connects to different parts of Italy. Metro and Tram available within walking distance. We chose a One-bedroom apartment - two single beds in the room and a sofa-bed in the living room. Beds were comfy and the apartment was spacious. WIth a well-equiped open-kitchen and supermarket within 5...

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
