We were just looking for a nice simple room near to the station and we were able to obtain this here without any issues. It was a very short walk from central, easy to find and the host was welcoming. We had a good night sleep with a fan set-up beside the bed. No complaints.

The owner was very sweet and greeted us very warmly. Our Italian is very poor but his English was definitely sufficient for us to understand each other. We were happy with our room, which had a private bathroom. The staff were all smiles and they were helpful. Overall we were comfortable and felt very welcome.

I feel that most of my ratings on this site are very high and that people won't trust my reviews. This place validates all the good ratings, the staff spoke no English and so I can't really comment on them. My room didn't feel particularly clean (neither did the communal bathroom). The TV was annoyingly slow to change channels? The... More

I had a single room with en-suite. The bed was very comfortable. The bedding and towels clean and the towels changed daily. Breakfast was basic but then, Italians don't 'do' breakfast and there are lots of cafes in Milan for good coffee and croissants. The man on reception was the best alarm clock I have every had. Each day I... More

The hotel is near to the central station. We met just the older owner, he was very nice and helpful, but he doesn't speak English only a little German. The breakfast was rich compared to standard Italian breakfast. We stayed just one night, I recommend just for transits and young people.

Location is very central. A few minutes away by foot from Caiazzo. A few good restaurants in the surrounding area. As mentioned by other reviewers, variable staff. I remember one very friendly older man and one constantly stoic-faced young man. The room I stayed one was nothing special but nice, spacious and very clean, although the lighting could be improved.... More

Stayed there for 2 nights (30/01/15 & 31/01/15) I think this is a family business and except for the wife, people are ice cold and hospitality is not their motto I would say. What I hated the most is that there was a constant cigarette whiff in the room and this is very annoying for a non-smoking hotel. The only... More

Meh. Good and bad. Room was big but nothing to write home about. Location is good, about 6 mins' walk from the train station. We were checked in by 2 delightful men - the younger spoke English, the older spoke none; both were as helpful as they could be. Later the younger one wasn't there so the older guy summoned... More

I booked my stay at this hotel in Milan, due to it's good nightly rate and convenient central location. I arrived at the hotel much later than intended due to me missing my original flight from Munich. However this was not a problem for the staff at the hotel, who despite not being confident with the English language, were extremely... More

Staying in Stazione Centrale

Neighbourhood Profile
Stazione Centrale
Central Station represents a bridge towards the future. Impressive skyscrapers and new age buildings stretch the skyline with the majestic Unicredit Tower cutting through. Surrounding it are large towers that define Piazza Gae Aulenti, where the fountain and the Monumento Trombe leave one breathless. A famous building of the district is the Vertical Forest, where the innovative materials and trees planted on the terraces are a unique mix of nature and man-made construction. In the district, there is the Monumental Cemetery, known for its antique tombs with sculptures portraying angels of commemorative scenes many will find touching.
